I have a penchant for old and slow moving stuff.
Pictured are my 1967 BSA a65 Thunderbolt coffee table, my grandfathers 1980 shovelhead w/ & w/o 1980 sidecar that I am restoring, and one of my favorite pistols.
My 06 F150 has the 4spd auto, and 3.08 gears. Now the state of NY has a max limit state wide of 65mph so I hardly ever have the truck in top gear. That being said it gets 13mpg on average, but going through TX on I-10 where you can legally do 80mph, I get about 24mpg on average. My 98 F150 has...
This is the #1 reason I have reservations about getting a first year model. First it was no manual trans and v6 and no manual trans and sasquatch. Now we have man-squatch, I dont like to waste my money.
When I say I havent heard of the company, and say the prices seem a bit much; that means I know nothing about the brand. I lived 3/4 of my life in a Florida swamp, and we had zero need for cold weather gear, let alone quality wool.
As far as American made products, as a union worker, I take...
I offered no disrespect, I stated I hadn't heard of them, asked if it was a regional thing. Clearly its from the Pacific North West, and I'm from Florida. There's a continent's worth between the two. As far as price reflecting craftsmanship, I would welcome the attempt to test that kind of...
Never heard of ArcTeryx, but was given a Patagonia hoodie once. It didnt really keep heat, and the elastic in the cuffs and waist gave up real quick. I saw they werent really cheap either so O wore it to show I was appreciative of the gift. While my Carhartt gear is WAY heavier, the jacket I...
Am I the only one who has never heard of Filson?
I checked their site and catalog, and while some stuff looks okay, not really impressed by their prices.
Is it a regional thing? I mean what about Ford's long standing partnership with Eddie Bauer? Is that gone?
And where were they looking for...
+1 Wet Okole
They make them tough enough to withstand baking in the island sun for years at a time, and all the abuse from beach sand being ground into them. The fit is so awesome, you get asked where you got such great aftermarket seats. I wouldnt go any other route.
Garbone, your profile says you are in the Daytona area, if so, is Wilson 4x4 still in business? Or have the 1Daytona or Tanger complex built a 4Wheel Parts? Havent been back in 386 since 2017.
What I'm getting at is that by the time a used MIC top is available, an aftetmarket alternative should...

Mass produced engines all have weak points. Just be prepared for a long wait, new model means not much on the repair parts stock is built up yet. Yes the 2.7L is already installed in several other vehicles, but theres no telling if they all use tje same oil pan. Front/mid/rear sump placement...
