  1. Aftermarket Bumpers on a Heritage?

Yeah I like the capable bumper. You should be able to find a take-off for $200-$300.
  2. Aftermarket Bumpers on a Heritage?

Here's a post from someone with the ARB on a Heritage: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/arb-bumper-and-skid-plates-installed-on-heritage-bronco.92281/ Looks-wise, not sure I like it better than the stock capable bumper.
  3. Pictures of your rocksliders that can be used as step too.

I'm using @Turn Offroad Stiders. Beefy and solid body mount. Like their high mounting position, pinch seam coverage, rock/ding protection (no holes on top plate). They cleaned up like new after this trip...
  4. My 2025 Bronco Outer Banks caught on fire - burned down to shell (updated with photos)

No problem accessing the handle. It does limit forward movement of the seat. Here’s a view of drivers side right seat rail from front, with seat moved as far forward as possible. You can see how far the rail can go in the channel.
  5. Is there a way to display "values" instead of bars in gauge mode?

For my 2023, just add the 'Gauges' view to "MyView": shows boost, oil temp, trans temp, batt voltage. I leave this up all the time. No coolant temp that I'm aware of. This is for my 2023...things may have changed for 2024 and after...
  6. My 2025 Bronco Outer Banks caught on fire - burned down to shell (updated with photos)

I've been running with this fire extinguisher setup for 1.5 years, including some rough offroad, and it's held up well. Practical Fire Extinguisher Placement
  7. Rear shock recall done, shields installed. Pictures included

I'm on the fence about getting this done - no corrosion so far. I've got the ASFIR rear shock skids, which would likely hold the reservoir if it fell off. I think the new covers would still fit behind the skids, but thinking I'm better off being able to see if they start corroding, and don't...
  8. BWI Bronco Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Technical Information

Yours is probably not working. You would notice. Even if one tire is on a six inch bump you would notice. Check your connections.
  9. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Looking forward to see what you’re cooking up! I wish Bronco bumpers were designed to be separate from recovery points and winch mounts - really different purposes. I know there are some hidden non-bumper winch mount alternatives out there, but they generally require significant expense and...
  10. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

That’s fair to say it’s an hypothesis. I wish we had required independent testing of all this gear. It would be costly, but maybe the manufacturers would save a little on their liability insurance (if they even have it).
  11. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Smart. Really has me curious why they would say that. The Ford Performance Winch kit: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1821-B
  12. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Thanks for the info. Glad nobody was hurt!
  13. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Interesting. If it was me, I'd insist they do it - for the personal liability protection. The dealership really has no skin in the game.
  14. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Yes - I mentioned this in an earlier post in this thread: From the video evidence, the flat nuts definitely pulled out of the bumper on the passenger side - this could have started due to bending of the frame horns before they failed, or it could have just been very high twisting forces on the...
  15. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

@swamp2 I agree with most of what you said. However, I don't have any hard data to quantify the risk, and I doubt you do either. Saying it is a fourth order effect is speculation. The risk is not zero, so I thought it was worth sharing. That said, if I owned that bumper, I would add the...
  16. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Thanks for the info! I was hoping someone was in the know. Glad he gets a free replacement. Sounds like it was a very hard hit. You said a flat strap was hooked to both recovery points, how long was the strap?
  17. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

It seems Ford thinks it’s an issue: the Ford Performance winch kit includes frame horn reinforcements, and it requires an airbag software update after installation. Changing crash dynamics is kind of by definition changing acceleration rates of the different parts involved, so, I think...
  18. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

BTW disclaimer regarding tradeoffs/risks of adding frame horn reinforcement, @zuke put it best:
  19. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

Thanks for clarifying - I think everyone that posted in this thread agrees that frame supports should be used with that bumper. From the video evidence, the flat nuts definitely pulled out of the bumper on the passenger side - this could have started due to bending of the frame horns before...
  20. Bumper Pulled Off Bronco

What exactly is overblown? FYI the person who lost the bumper was being recovered from the bumper’s recovery points, not from winching.
