Very solid plan. The upside is the trip should take care of a nice chunk of the break-in period as well and gives good excuse for breaks and sightseeing on the trip. Never been to Iowa myself so it'll be new experiences all around. ?

'06 tC here, 5 speed with cruise. I commuted 170 miles round trip for a year and a half so cruise was my best friend at that time and it worked as you'd expect. That said I also live in Illinois so I can't say I have the most experience with these "hills" you speak of. ?

Same here. I'll reach out to my current dealer to see about ADM, etc. but I'm not putting too much stock in shopping around. Frankly taking the trip out to Granger and being part of the experience there along with everyone else will just be the cherry on top of the financial savings of it all. ?

The bottle opener is a fun idea/party trick, but yeah if this is the final implementation I'm cool with a delete solution. Besides, plenty of creative alternatives if you need a bottle opener on the fly. ?
