I think it is worth it if that is what is on the Bronco you are interested in on the lot. I wouldn't have ordered it that way. For an order, I'd stop at high package.
2 doors pull a trailer just fine. The one benefit is tight spaces with a trailer. I had my M416 in some tight areas last week and it was no big deal to so a turn around and maneuver out.
Great writeup and definitely do a thread on the trailer. I've wondered about the M1101 trailers. I've lived with my M416 for more than a decade so I doubt I'll change.
So far no issues. I get a bit more wind noise from the hardtop that I could probably do something about but I just turn up the volume. Otherwise nothing and mine has the Lux package and Squatch so about everything you can get on one except the sway bar disconnect. Oh and it even survived an...
Second that glad you started this thread. You've done a good job contributing for quite a while and a lot of us appreciate threads like this where we can learn from the experience of others. Makes me keep a hard eye on my OBX with Squatch as I rack up some miles on it.
It doesn't have to have a 10 speed...my RV has one and it has a 6 speed auto behind it. The 7.3L is a good engine. I haven't weighed it but I'm somewhere around 14-15k with my toad hitched up and that is light for some of the chassis' using the 7.3L.
You might consider a fuel stabilizer or put in 100% gas with no ethanol. A little late now but if you have extended time in storage going forward. Also a battery tender would have been my number one thing to keep from killing the battery, but again that is a little late.
I guess I would burn...
Any folks have experience with the dash cam offered via Ford in their aftermarket / accessories site? I have some Ford Pass points burning a hole in my pocket.
You need to hire someone to help you set the value and help negotiate with insurance. I had this issue with someone else's insurance after they hit me. It worked well.
Well what is your issue with regards to comfort? I was working at home but now commute 25 minutes one way...I would triple that and have no issues. Granted mine is OBX with Lux with the cloth seats. I find mine very comfortable and love driving it. But I grew up commuting an hour one way in...
I intentionally pulled Nittos off my son's 4Runner because of the crappy wet weather traction. They now hold air for my early Bronco and will get dumped when it is back on the road.
I have a OBX with Lux and Squatch...it rides just fine on the interstate. And mine is a 2 door so the shorter wheelbase. Taken several all day trips and I love it. Oh and I have the 2.3L. Plenty of power for the highway.
I admit that while following the topic I wasn't following that closely because I had bailed on flat towing the Bronco and picked up a dedicated toad. The point about all the failures that you have seen on the forums so far being tied to the 4A transfer case is enlightening. I love my Squatched...
I didn't. I actually bailed on towing the Bronco and spent $5k on a used Mini Cooper to drag along. I'm a little bummed that I'm not taking the Bronco with us on adventures but I just don't trust that it won't be damaged when I get there.
Squatched 2DR with the 2.3L and I'm happy with it. Both engines are good. I like driving my Bronco a lot so I'd be inclined to go with the one that gets it to me soonest.
