If Toyota decided to make a new FJ today, it would be a 2028 model year introduction. What I would do in the meantime is design a TRD version of the 4runner that is more modular with open wheel wells and bolt on bumpers. Use parts from the Tacoma whenever possible.
Does the lemon law cover paying crazy ADMs so you can get another Bronco fast? I think that getting more attention from Ford may get you a working Bronco faster.
I have seen a couple Broncos around town where the owner upsized the wheels/tires but not the spare. Not only does this look comically stupid, but probably isn't safe to use as a spare.
The small rural dealers have been screwed, as has the customers who reserved/ordered there. if we had a strict reservation date (or order date) build order, then people would consider the process fair and be able to plan when their vehicle will arrive.
Nice job! a couple questions:
1) Did you mean 0.6 cubic feet of internal volume? If so, that is perfect for the sub I want to run. 6L. Yea, I figured that the space was fairly small. Price of stealth.
2) How much (top-mounted) depth did you end up with?
3) How did you set up the 'turn on' for...
My understanding is that the head unit drives the center and rear pods. The six amplified channels are the left dash, right dash, left kick, right kick, and two for the DVC sub. Despite searching extensively on the internet, nobody seems to know the RMS for each of the channels. Also, Harmon...
I read somewhere that if the Bronco was sold as a 'Fleet Sale' that the modular bumper would come with fog lights. Another option would be to hook up the lights to an upfitter switch.
Fascinating data. I'm not sure how much the B6G self-surveyed sample represents Bronco orders overall. The charts show a heavy bias towards higher end models.
People buy cars/trucks for different reasons. If you care about audio, you need to be able to hear clear, low distortion audio over the road noise. Because the Bronco is a boxy, noisy vehicle (even with the top on and windows rolled up) it needs a better audio system than an aerodynamic sedan...
I changed my A51 to HPR this summer (I was pushed to 2023). The upcharge was around $250 I think. HPR will get some more attention I think with CO gone.
