Are you confident that the stock shocks have the same rate for the different body styles and engines? It’s my understanding that the shock for a 2 door 2.3 carries different spring rates than a 2.7 4 door for example, given the different vehicle mass.
Thanks. Do you know how much variation in torque split is allowed? Can it, for example, provide 80% of the torque to the front or rear wheels on demand?
I’d like to see a technical overview of exactly how the trans case engages and disengages the front shaft selectively and preemptively, and how variations in shaft speeds are achieved. Exactly what type of clutching is used, and what variations in torque split are allowed? Anyone have this...
While I understand your frustration the issue appears to be unique to your top. I am not surprised that Ford believes this was due to a chemical application.
While this top has many owners reporting cracks and delamination this is the first one I have seen here turning white.
The dealer...
Yep, this is a concern with AWD vehicles that use viscous clutches and whatnot that will wear out if when constantly challenged by different tire sizes and therefore rotational velocities, causing constant slip at speed.
BUT, with a full size Bronco there should be no concern as these...
In the category of dumb questions does the front axle engage in 4A reverse?
I assumed it did, but my MT BL argued otherwise when backing into my garage on a slippery incline yesterday.
2.3CFM is approximately 65LPM. Note airflow varies with pressure…as pressure builds airflow is reduced so it’s important to note airflow at desired pressure ranges.
Virginia does require a front plate, however I don’t run with one. Typically here police will not stop you for a missing front plate alone, but they will ticket you for it if they pull you over for a different violation. I’ve never been stopped anywhere. I suspect your wife just found a very...
Thanks. I asked because I often go long periods only driving a few miles every couple of days, with ~10 minutes between start and shutoff. I haven’t noticed deep sleep, but I do see persistent charge rates of 15.2v. I’ve also had a battery replaced under warranty on my 22 at 25,000 miles.
Check out Nacho lights. Outstanding quality. Amber or clear. Three switchable modes in a compact round package. Very bright. I have mine set to show as aux white DRLs with when other lamps are on. As SAE compliant fog ambers connected to the stock fog light switch. And finally as bright...
5” is for amateurs.
Memories of not batting an eyelash at 9” in my (new at the time) 79 F150 2WD with good vintage snow tires a sizable log in the bed for weight. My Dad’s 1960 Saab 2 stroke 3cyl would go through anything not reaching the bumper.
Any modern car with front wheel drive and good...
GOAT Modes (I just use the dash switches)
Hill Descent Control (not even sure how it works or why I care with a manual trans.)
Back Seat (should just toss it…)
