  1. Jeep brand has lowest reliability ranking according to CR...

Not sure I would use a CR ranking to justify one vehicle over another. I’m not a Jeep fan at all. But I wonder whether the low score is related to people that buy a Jeep then realize that an off road vehicle is not really in their wheelhouse or what they expected. Also, Ford coming in at 22...
  2. crazy build times?

In December, I received a build date of mid January, which got my excitement going after placing my first order back in March 2021. Now it’s been bumped to late February and I seriously doubt it will be built then. I wish I had not gotten the build notification in the first place because it...
  3. Hello from Texas

Welcome. Grew up in southeast Texas and lived in Austin for many years, now in AZ for last 25 yrs. Spent many, many days camping and fishing with my father and friends at Lake Rayburn, Dam B, Lake Livingston, etc. Bought the formerly junky, rust bucket Bronco in my avatar from a soldier at...
  4. Anyone getting good news emails?

Yep I’m 2/28. This was my 5th bump into the future. Probably one of those sitting out in the Michigan winter.
  5. Major Kudos to Ford

Congrats on your adventure! Rim country around Payson is a spectacular place to get off the beaten path with your Bronco. I ride mountain bikes there a few times a year, mostly the Highline Trail. My first order was for OBX but changed later to WT for reasons I can’t remember, maybe one of...
  6. Jumping Ship? - What's Your Plan B Vehicle Purchase?

I’ve been wondering about this. If you order a Defender do you pay MSRP or do the dealers typically attach a big mark up? Iā€˜ve seen a few on lots here in AZ marked up to over $120k that are $80k in Land Rover’s build and price web site.
  7. 02/07/2022 Build Week Group

I’m headed in the wrong direction! First I had a 1/24 build week date and then for a long time it held at 1/31. Then this past Saturday, it changed to week of 2/7. And now just got an e-mail saying week of 2/14. FWIW my build is: WT, iconic silver, soft top, lux, aux, leather, martini bar...
  8. Base Bronco sells for $220k! (Custom 2.3L Soft-Top) 😯

Totally agree with this, 100%, especially the part about selling not buying. I was there for 3 days and watched it off and on a couple more. Lots of crazy money being thrown around at least compared to last year. I have this theory that people are finally waking up from 2 years of COVID and...
  9. šŸ›  1/31/2022 BUILD WEEK GROUP

Well, just checked e-mail and I got bumped to week of 2/7. No big deal, was half way expecting that. See ya in the 2/7 thread!
  10. soft top rear lift assist from IAG Performance

Super accessory! The feature that I like is this (quoted from their web site): ā€œā€¦it provides a much needed assist in closing the soft top while increasing the rigidity of the frame which prevents common scratches to your Bronco's roll bar.ā€ This should have been standard equipment on the...
  11. IN STOCK! Triple LED Fog Light Kit for MOD Bumper from ORACLE Lighting

Like some others said, I’m interested particularly if there can be some kind of combo amber/white.
  12. Ford totaled my First Edition.

I’m surprised. Six pages in and there hasn’t yet been debates speculating about the evil dealer cooking this story up so they can sell OP’s FE for a $100k. We’re slipping!
  13. Turning in 4WD

OP don’t feel too bad. Just about everyone (even the four wheel gods!) go thru a learning curve when starting out on a vehicle like the Bronco. A few break something, but most, like you, figure it all out. I learned on an old IH Scout. Lucky for me, it was sturdily built like an old tractor...
  14. Barrett Jackson sales today

I was at Barrett-Jackson the last couple days. Yeah, I noticed the 2.3 motors on most of the 6G Broncos. Prices seemed quite a bit higher this year than last overall. Here’s the vehicle I would have bid on if I were registered. Went for $47,000...spectacular build. 53 Chevy 3500 Carryall
  15. I guess some dealers don't want to sell Broncos

I don’t think a lot of those Broncos shown at MSRP are really intended for sale and just there to create interest and generate phone calls. At least for now, the only vehicles they’ll get serious with you about are those that are marked up. There were a couple FE’s shown on dealer inventory...
  16. Seen at Barrett Jackson Auction

This was sort of a combo project between two separate companies, Gateway Broncos and Legacy EV. Legacy’s business model seems to be they take a Tesla motor and battery and adapt it to a project car such as a body off frame resto. They had a Mustang frame with the motor and battery mounted as...
  17. Seen at Barrett Jackson Auction

Has one motor and two batteries. The photo shows one of the batteries in the normal engine compartment. I discovered the other battery where the gas tank normally is. In fact, it looked exactly like one of the aftermarket gas tanks that people have been installing in EB’s for 50 years.
  18. Seen at Barrett Jackson Auction

You asked for it, an electric Bronco. Cost is a cool $350,000.
  19. Switched to an Outer Banks from a Wildtrak

All I can think of is fog lights.
  20. Switched to an Outer Banks from a Wildtrak

Back in March 2021 when I first placed an order I picked OBX optioned like a WT. About a week later I switched to WT. To me it really came down to Baja versus Roast interior. Baja won out by a whisker so I have the leather sandstone when the WT arrives. I had a 2009 Tundra in that color and...
