You fuse protect for the wiring used, not the device being powered. A 12vdc 200W device should get a 30 amp fuse and the appropriate gauge wiring for 30 amp fuse depending on how many feet you run.

How can that one be rated for 675 lbs tongue weight when the OEM receiver is only 350 lbs tongue weight?

Calling someone incompetent and then misspelling it is extremely funny. If it was a simple design, the aftermarket would have it available. I don't have time to design, fabricate and test.

I'm not planning on exceeding 3500 lbs at all. I do want a more robust hitch receiver than my OEM hitch though, preferably frame mounted..

I see nearly all hitches. including OEM, are not directly mounted to the frame rails. They are mounted to a smaller crossmember. Are there any aftermarket hitches that do attach to the primary frame rails?

Because the camper I am looking at has a ball height of 24". Anderson says hitch should be 1.5 above that. So 25.5" puts me into the SAS spare tire depending on how far the Anderson sticks out.

We probably don't know the answer but would the Raptor hitch mod allow higher tongue weights on non-Raptors? It seems logical with the much thicker construction. Right now we are limited to 350 lbs tongue weight but the Raptor hitch is rated for 450 lbs tongue weight. I am not trying to tow...

I can see now that the trailer will play a big factor in compatability of any hitch and a SAS equipped bronco spare tire.

Ford considers full protection not to require anything under the transmission on any trim. They need learning.
