🤣 Ooof I can guess which grandkid is getting coal for Christmas. Although I hate people who abuse it and give the ol' "it just blew up for no reason" but leave out the part about hitting it with a 250 shot of nitrous and putting it back to stock after it spontaneously disassembled.
And yet they're jumping to the conclusion it's not warrantied. All that is asked is to "show your work" prior to declaring something abuse. Otherwise you might as well roll dice on whether it's warranty or not on how a tech feels, and we know Ford shorts them billable hours for warranty work.
Then there would be evidence of damage with the rock strike..... So far we've seen minor curb rash on a wheel. Unless the OP is hiding the dealers findings, the dealer should be pointing out exactly what damage lead them to come to their conclusion. If it was hard enough to bend an axel, there...
Exactly, the burden of proof should be on the accuser.
Granted we don't usually get the whole story on forums, but I can totally see an axel being out of spec with heat treat or something, exceeding run out tolerances and getting worse over time.
I've caught myself missing/thinking I hit the parking brake once... after I jumped out and my Bronco tried to escape. Luckily I was standing only a few feet away. I don't know the pitch of your driveway but in my case it took about 20 seconds to really start moving.
There are plenty of d*ckheads out there that think it's funny to do this on freeways. A year or two ago dozens of cars had their glass shot on freeways out down here with bb guns.
But yes sometimes tempered glass just decided on it's own to quit on life. It's internally stressed already, so...
Well I got my letter Friday and for some reason when I looked at recalls on my Vin to see if it showed up there, the child lock recall disappeared on the online. I sure haven't taken it in for the child lock check and everything under my VIN has disappeared.
I find it works better than Google maps in Southern CA. I like the visual of off ramps and which are through lanes, etc. But I learned in 2007 YMMV with GPS after a Garmin unit told me to turn right while in WY.... Off a cliff...
Nada, they only time I let the turbos cool was after going up Baker grade (5-7% for 10+ miles of sustained ~15psi boost) and I let them cool on the downhill. If I were hypothetically climbing to the peak and stopping I would let the oil temps drop bit(was about 225*) before shutdown.
I also...
I only waded through about 1/2 of the 12 pages. But do the alignment pins protrude out from the Bottom of the hard top??? I haven't removed my top so I don't know, but if that's the case that is dumb... The cracking failure mode of those pins flexing that area if you set the top on them should...
If you haven't already done so double check the shutter at the bottom of the vent is full open and not partially closed. My wife asked why is wasn't blowing on her side when she shut the vent....
Well.... At least you weren't this kid. Fresh out of AIT, claimed he could drive the wheels off anything. Forgot the trailer brake, threw it in 8x8 after not moving, and proceeded to bury it to the axels. It was an interesting recovery...
Those are 48" tires for reference
Man that sucks ,I'm sorry. I hope you got a police report, witnesses, or a dash cam. I got hit a few weeks ago going straight by someone who crossed opposing traffic through a median break to hit me. Minor damage, exchanged info, no witnesses stopped, cause it was minor. I get a call from their...
