Neither my wife nor I have ever owned an automatic…cars have included a ‘79 Chevette, ‘79 Scirocco, ‘04 Contour SVT, ‘13 TDI and the’17 Alltrack. We just prefer to shift for ourselves.
To say that Ford’s system is lacking is generous. My sixteen year old Xterra’s system works so well it would make this climb effortlessly in 4 low without engaging the rear locker. Looks like my BD has either a locking M210, an ARB air locker, or a Trutrack for the front differential in the...
It looks like @Ford Motor Company might have dropped the ball on programming the traction control. On my Xterra, or the 4Runner, the brake "limited slip differential" system stays active with traction control disabled. Disabling the traction control only eliminates the reduction of power to stop...
If that is the case 32” tires will be fine. Option in the rear locker and put on a good set of 32”-33” tires. No need for rims and about $1000 for tires. You have no need for 35” tires, and they will decrease every aspect of pavement performance.

The complexity of the job depends on how much you want it integrated with the software. In the end, 12V to the solenoid disconnects the sway bar. Removing 12V reconnects it. Find the power lead to the solenoid, hook it up to a switch with a 12V power supply, and you have the equivalent of a...
