I received a similar yet larger estimate....thus a PPE pan and fluid sitting in my shop. Waiting for weather and and a few more miles to make it happen.
Seeing how the Ford diff covers are on perpetual backorder....save a few bucks and went with a Ten Factory. Oil was not bad at 20K, but had a nice bit on the magnets. Like the looks and with the hardware suggestions from CarbonSteel, the armor was able to be used and stock brake line brackets.
Love the video of some Taco action. I did however decide to go with 33x10.5 Maxxis Razr and not the Yoka 32s, they are not tall enough for my lift. I am not ready for 35s yet. Lol
Took the family on the Spas Creek and Punkin Hollow, didn't have a wingman or time to any others. They are not...
Bingo! Great thread! That thread got me started. All I have left to do is the tranny and PPE pan install prior to my 25K mark. Diffs and T-case are done.
Regardless of "schedule", PLEASE do the oil every 5K! The turbos will toast the oil fast and it is good to do especially if wheeling.
I am at the 23K mark, and have done both diffs and T-case. I have the fluid, and a PPE pan on hand, waiting for my opportunity to get under and change it out. Thus far the oil was first changed at 2K and every 5K after that. I did wait till 20K ish before doing the diffs and case.
So far...
Well, my 86 is in project mode, bagged and tagged until I can fit her back in the shop to do some body work. The new pony and a few weeds are in the photo.
It's a valiant try! Lol
As Fastmc25 stated, the event and crowd is amazing......not to mention the food; very impressive.
We went last Oct and loved the experience as a couple. Enjoy!
Sorry, I'm already driving an electronic appliance, I DONT want it to look like one!
This thing reminds me of a refrigerator and a bronco love child.
The concept even though real, they do not have the mechanics figure out from the pics of the undercarriage.
I've used a cargo carrier hitch tray and a large tub/container for years behind our Durango, for cross country travel and holiday trips. The tail gait door swings up, missing the cargo. With the Bronco out swing gate, this is the challenge. I have also considered the swing out cargo hitch...
This is one of the armor areas that the BL should have had installed from factory, along with rear shock mounts and cross member shields. The BL package is formidable and smart, but a couple low hanging fruit areas need some love.
I have wrapped it up with a rear diff plate as well. It is...
Wow, this was verry appreciated info, especially to all of us new to the turbo scene.
My concern now is using the advice of going from a Syn-blend to the Full-Syn.
Absolutely agree with everyone on other 6G posts concerning the "Oil Life Indicator" and its reality. I will continue to change it...
I am going to have to make a trip up to Attica! It is less than 2 hours for us. We have made the trip down to Callies camp grounds, this last fall, to do the DBBB. I'll check out the Kentuckiana page as well. Look forward to linking up on a ride some time in the future.
