  1. Badass Roof Top Tent + full length roof rack!

We've been liking ours. Easy to pitch, easy to stow, excellent protection when the weather turns. And yeah, taking at piss at night sucks regardless where your sleeping bag is. That's life brother. I'm psyched about the BA rack!
  2. Engines at Altitude

I can tell you my 3.5 EB is a monster in the Rockies. I suspect the turbos have more capacity than is normally used, and the excess is bled off. Up here, perhaps the wastegates don't open quite as early... With regard to living up here (9,100ft, Summit County), figure out your activities...
  3. Wrapped my Base MIC top in Gloss White

Nice work! I'm inspired and will do this in a slightly off white shade whenever my truck arrives! What surface prep was required? Just an isopropyl wipedown? May I suggest a roughly 2 inch wide white stripe along the bottom edge of the rear glass, and paint the perimeter of the grill body...
  4. Does/Will Ford have a Badge of Honor system like Jeep does?

Stickers are huge out West. I do have a Scott FLY Rods sticker on my powder skis which serves the purpose of breaking the ice with some strangers on the lift. This has yielded several backcountry trout spots. I'll likely have on on the Bronk for the same purpose. But bragging badges about...
  5. Skid Plates for Control arms and additional protection for Trail arm

Could they be longer and tucked up into the frame? Would that weaken the frame? Or, could a couple of "triangles" be welded from the frame to the trailing arm mount? Sort of a ramp to ease the transition?
  6. Mic top painting prep?

Gents. For those few of you who have painted your tops. Please tell us what you learned regarding mold release wax, filling, sanding and priming? Or did you stay with the textured surface? I hope to paint mine white, once it arrives. Considering a 2 part poly paint like interlux.
  7. Toyo Tires Bronco Build(s) at SEMA 2021

Very nice. I like those 1552 aluminum "STEELIES" ($350!)
  8. 2 Door Badlands Manual First Dirt!

Sometimes lockers can exacerbate that situation. Experiment with them on and off in different scenarios.
  9. 2022 Orders

Mine was changed to a priority code 19 on reorder. Any idea what that signifies versus a code 10?
  10. 2022 MY Order - Granger Ford 2022 MY B&P Link

Thanks Zach! Updated order sent as requested!
  11. Overland Green Confirmed For 2022 Bronco?

We're in business! (My '73 back in 1982 or so....)
  12. 2.7l and 10 speed reliabilty, turbos shot at 40k

Glad it was covered under warranty, OP! As a previous poster pointed out, since both turbos failed at the same time, I suspect there is a missing bit of info here. When my blowoff valve started failing (p0299), I stopped by the local Ford dealer and without even looking at it, the service mgr...
  13. 2.7l and 10 speed reliabilty, turbos shot at 40k

That sucks you're having problems OP. I felt I was taking a chance when we bought our 2013 3.5 EB F150. Now at 90,000, eight years and plenty of offroading, towing and high speed highway, we are delighted. Only two unexpected issues thus far: a bad coil on one cylinder at about 40K and the...
  14. 2.3L power to weight ratio

Yeah. Up here at 9000ft, the 4runner's 270hp drops to about 200. The Bronk keeps it's power and more torque to boot. That said, I'll likely go with the 2.7, just becuz. If the 2.3 had dual injection, I'd be on the fence.
  15. sasquatch + snow

The siping is the thing. It seems counter-intuitive, but carrying a bit of snow on the tire actually grabs the snow on the road. Up here at 9000+ elevation, we had 25 feet last season. I've found both BFG K02 and Cooper AT3 (or ATW) to be great all year AT tires that are exceptional in the...
  16. Oxford White 2D Sasquatch Badlands Bronco

License plate might block the Intercooler down low and centered. On my F150, they kept it low and to the side. I think my original '71 was high and to the side as well. It was an afterthought on that truck also!
  17. Am I the only one who hasn't heard of Filson?

There's a whole different plane out there for upper crust sportsmen. Filson gear abounds in that crew. I had occasion to hunt dove in that plane a couple years back. One fellow had just received his new side-by-side from England. He had flown to Birmingham two years prior to be fitted for...
  18. Let's do the MPG math

As interest, my 2013 F150 3.5 ecoboost Supercrew has an overall mpg of 16.9. It lives at 9000 feet, takes a weekly trip over and back mountain passes to 11,000. I run up those passes at high speed to "blow out the carbon". Gear ratio is 3:73 and empty weight is 6600 pounds.
  19. Everything Badlands: For Positive and VERY Excited future BL Owners!! Plan & Wait...

With regard to PPF, I intend to use this truck to learn how to apply it with my son. Seems like a low risk DIY and will focus on leading edges (Colorado gravel) and side panels (desert pinstriping)
