My basesquatch only made it 73 miles before leaving me stranded so do I win or do you? o_O
One suggestion... make sure you get a free extended warranty out of this ordeal. This was very easy for me to do after a Ford rep reached out to me on B6G and asked for details of my situation. Maybe...
I went ahead and booked an Airbnb in town for 4/30 to 5/6. My 6G will probably be sitting at MAP then so I'm pushing hard to get the 69 finished but the to-do list is impressively long. If it's not done, I'm either going to need to bum a seat or level my Ram and cram these 37's under it 😁
Yes! We watched that for awhile and it was decent but I enjoyed it because I kept thinking "yep, that's how FoMoCo would do it" and sure enough they started having roll away vehicles not 6 months later due to a parking pawl issue
There's a lot of room under there if you switch to an inline style muffler like the F150 has and run a single pipe tight along the driver side. This is on my to do list for the next Bronco to either add some storage (accessible through tray area above) or an extra fuel tank. I'm not sure what...
Does sound familiar. Probably worth checking the connectors for each wheel speed sensor while you wait. Also, @flip can probably look at your codes if you send him your VIN.
It's different on these modern Fords. Look at @flip's diagrams and you'll see engine coolant goes to a cooler on the transmission for the 2.3L and in front of the front suspension crossmember on the 2.7L. I thought all modern Fords used cylinder head temperature sensors so the PCM should know...
Bummer! Overheating is no fun anywhere but certainly not in the outback. It sounds like everything was cold so how did you know it was overheating? Cluster message? I know there's an electric water pump but I was thinking that was for the HVAC rather than for the engine cooling. I'm sure...
I had this issue sometimes and I recall someone saying it happens when you don't push the seat all the way back before pushing the seat back into position. I didn't use the driver side that much so I never confirmed this theory.
What's the deal? Is Ford using shitty glass in the Bronco? I get the vertical windshield explanation for all the chips leading to cracks but the defroster cracking them in normal winter temperatures seems absurd. Maybe there's a thicker/better glass in the aftermarket?
I can't speak for the 4-door but my 2-door sasquatch averaged 19.2 over 1100 miles (hand-calculated) when driving around eastern Tennessee last year. Some of that was on the Dragon and I never baby things so I would certainly believe 20+ mpg on a non-sasquatch Bronco with its lighter tires and...
