  1. Interior should be expected in off road vehicle

No offense taken. What would be perfect for us is a full size bronco built on the raptor platform or ram equivalent built on the power wagon platform. Preferably with a V8 priced the same as a power wagon or raptor with similar features for price. We actually get way back in the backcountry alot...
  2. Cargo Capacity, Cupholders and Other Tidbits (With Tape Measure & Props). Photos from Kansas

Haha, I absolutely love the props! Well done! I can't imagine what the hosts thought when you walked up with a moving box and a gun case! I want to see more folks build on your motivation. How about a dog kennel with Fido in tow? Probably can't legally find a buck this time of year but it is...
  3. Interior should be expected in off road vehicle

That's fair, but there are premium materials out there that are easy to clean. I've had my truck filthy (mud, dirt, sweat, dog hair, spilt drinks, food, etc and everything wiped up great). I spend a ton of time off-road and hunting in the mountains getting dirty and it cleans up and has worn...
  4. Interior should be expected in off road vehicle

Here's the rub. They all still offer bare bones work trucks, they are just still expensive $35 vs $55 and almost nobody buys them at a high rate outside of fleet services. The base squatch and the ram tradesman power wagon are the two best price to capability off-roaders on the market, yet...
  5. Interior should be expected in off road vehicle

Definitely a big part of it. The interior of the two broncos I saw made me inclined to drop down a model/trim. The 12" screen and seat material was the main appearance difference. If you go with a fully loaded Bronco then you are in it for $60k so the Bronco's utilitarian design even on higher...
  6. Interior should be expected in off road vehicle

I keep reading folks say that the interior is "what we should expect in an off road vehicle". My question is what are you comparing that too? I saw it in person and I am definitely not saying the interior is awful or anything. I describe it as average, adequate, utilitarian. But I do think...
  7. In-person thoughts from a fence-sitter & outdoorsman

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/4-door-cargo-area-dimensions-measurements-finally-length-depth-width-plus-molle-panel-dimensions.13968/ This thread says rear cargo area is 30x42. That dual kennel I posted is 30.75x42, so it may be just too big in depth due to the latch. It's close enough...
  8. In-person thoughts from a fence-sitter & outdoorsman

My bird dogs are right in that 55 pound range and I wish I had measured my kennels before going to know for sure. My best guess is that two standard medium sized kennels won't quite fit. The latch mechanism on the swig gate eats up some space. So even if they just fit side by side The latch may...
  9. In-person thoughts from a fence-sitter & outdoorsman

Here are some photos too. Payload on both broncos was a touch over 1000 pounds.
  10. In-person thoughts from a fence-sitter & outdoorsman

I went to a dealership event today in Springfield VA. First off, it was a great event, laid back, no pressure at all and not too many people. I highly recommend attending an event if you can. I saw a 4 Door Silver Badlands, 2.3 with manual tranny and a 4 door Antimatter Black Diamond Sasquatch...
  11. Bronco vs having v8 4x4 f150 and Rzr 1000

Everything is a compromise. I would consider how/where you off-road and then pick the most appropriate vehicles. There are tons of places a SxS can go that a bronco can't and there are plenty of places that won't allow SxS or where you need extra capacity that a bronco would allow. The problem...
  12. Current truck owners.

The bronco will have very low towing capacity and payload. Sure it can haul a light trailer with a couple sheets of plywood from home depot no problem but it can't do any real work. This will be even worse in a bronco when you try to offroad while towing or hauling any significant weight. In...
  13. 2021 F-150 Tremor Revealed!

I agree and thing the article saying it had a front locker was a misprint. Not having a front locker really knocks down the package in my mind to not all that impressive, although I'm still intrigued by the new generator in the F150s if it proves reliable.
  14. 2021 F-150 Tremor Revealed!

That's big news if it actually has a front locker. The super duty and ranger tremor package does not. Not going back lie, this with the new generator option and a topper is basically a big bronco and a very competitive option for me if priced similar. Does need 35" tires though.
  15. Sasquatch Practical Use Question

I'll just post this and then duck, but if you really want to go that last 1 or 2% then get a solid front axle vehicle that doesn't weigh 5k pounds and is about as wide as an F150, haha. I drive a power wagon so I know a thing or two about heavy rigs off-road!!!
  16. Sasquatch Practical Use Question

The sasquatch with bigger tires, more lift and a front locker (assuming it works about as well as a SFA locker) will be much more capable. You may only need that extra capability 5% of the time, but that 5% may be the difference of getting stuck or not. It also gives you confidence to try...
  17. Lightweight Overlanding Camper/trailers ideal for BRONCO

Here is why my research thought process made me settle on my offroad teardrop. I looked at more convenient travel trailers and they simply can't be pulled safely on the forest service/blm type roads where I hunt. I looked at the box/cargo trailers for a multi-purpose rig since I had the towing...
  18. Lightweight Overlanding Camper/trailers ideal for BRONCO

Found a nice off-road teardrop! Suspension rated for 3500 pounds so if my wife gets a bronco it should just slide under the max tow. Tows like a champ (of course) behind my power wagon! Pretty excited to get out this weekend and use it.
  19. Lifelong Chevrolet Owner Getting Cold Feet

I switched to Ram after owning an F150 for almost 15 years and couldn't be happier. I bought the vehicle with that most capability and my Ram Power Wagon offered a superior product to the competition by a large margin(not unlike the bronco). I think the majority of complaints you read on the...
  20. Why go 2-door unless you have to?

I'll go a step further and say both 2 and 4 dr models are somewhat impractical for a full family and most extended camping/back country hunting situations. The low payload, low towing, small fuel tank, and small interior space of the new bronco makes it a very niche vehicle in my eyes. It's...
