The most important thing is which engine are you getting, it makes a big difference in what equipment you will need?
Also which front...
Was going to type in a nice long post but I see I already did above.
I just checked both copies of the pdf manuals that I down loaded ver 1 and ver 1B and neither say to shift into park. Just checked both online versions, in the Bronco and with my computer and that state shift into park. Don't...
I have a laminated cheat sheet I made last year when I first started towing and it states. Put the vehicle in ACCS. mode then press the brake for 7 seconds then shift to park.

Couple of things to help remember to get out of the ACC Mode.
1) Leave the AC on in the recirculate mode, if the AC control lights are still on you are still in ACC mode.
2) Carry the key fob with you when you get out of the Bronco, if it double honks it is still in ACC mode.
At my age I need...
Are you getting out of the ACC mode? That is the last step in the set up. That is the only time my accumulated miles back in the days when I was trying to figure out the electronic brake boost.
Nice rig, been towing since November. I have a V10 gas, was towing a 2 door Jeep Wrangler and now have a 4 door OBX and there is a big difference going up hills.
Built in brakes system usually require a vacuum pump to keep the vacuum brake boost active because the brake pedal actuators do not supply enough force.
Now the 2.7 with electronic boost, the boost stays on 30 to 40 minutes after closing the doors then goes off.
Technically the Ready Brake is...
2.7 or 2.3 makes a big difference in choices. If you have a 2.3 any brake system on the market will work. If it is a 2.7 not so. If you have a 2.7 and don't need a brake system right away I would wait and see what Ford does with the upcoming software change with electronic brakes.
Just got back from a trip to Galveston and paid a little more attention to the recir mode. It appears the AC will stay recir mode when you turn off the ignition. So the last thing I do is make sure the AC is in recir mode before pressing the start button the last time.
I did notice if you do a...
The electronic brake boost on the Bronco 2.7l must be disabled Ref. TSB 22-2210 before towing, other than that it will work great. You will be on the side that hopes the Ford upcoming programming change will allow you to disable the boost without having to pull fuses.
I have a machinist in the family so he used an end mill to remove a bit of material from each side. A friend in Florida used a grinder to open his up. Don't need much.

The purpose for the charge line is to keep the tow vehicle battery charge up. Which would take care of the supplemental portable brake system if the 12 volt port did not shut off.
I would think the Jackery 1500 would work great.
I used to tow a Ford Explorer and I had the battery go dead a...
Everything you would like to know is in this thread, long but tons of info. Having the 2,3L takes away a lot of the issues and the NSA takes away more.
