will try to get this installed hopefully in the next 2 weeks, between work, and my busted golf R sitting on jackstands in my main garage. Hands are tied. I'm not snoball material, so i'm most likely not pulling this off in my driveway.
just not sure if i'll be able to get to somethings with one...
Lol not sure where leaks would come from. I have some faith in made in China goods. I don't want to introduce any contaminants to this. The bottom plate looks pretty decent on this too
realistically. if you cut an aluminum sheet to match. add washers to match where it mounts... it'll probably work. But maybe this will inspire other companies to make their own fuel tanks.
but i was knocking around the tank to see how sturdy it felt, and the bottom definitely is reinforced.
won't be around to take it apart until tomororw.
I tried to take the box apart... it think i need to bring out a saw... . pry bar did not work. hammer did not work lol...
this just got delivered. only got to inspect it partially, but it feels like quality, the aluminum feels very adequate all around, and seems like they welded the additional piece onto the bottom to make it thicker.
Very well stomped on apparently
it seems that the new tops have this done already. i noticed this on my top already. but i get this werid wind noise sometimes, and i'm not sure if its attributed to this.
In the 2 months I had this installed. Discovered my rear glass wasn't sealed. Leaked ..
Now I discover that my 3rd brake light wasn't sealed properly, leaks also.
*Edit* Fabian is getting a new light sent, thanks Armadillo for the fast reply on that
For those that had the foam liner pieces...
based on your pictures, i assume the handle itself is metal with a plastic/rubber cover.
previously the handle was all plastic. i am one of the people that had the handle snap on me.
unfortunately i can't install them either now lol, limited by the armadillo top.
Currently having a issue. My Rear running lights seem to go out when driving.
I believe its because i'm over current for what the BCM is supposed to see. Is there something somehwere to adjust what the BCM should see in terms of current draw for rear running lights or brake lights?
I dont know...
