  1. Airbag Recall thread..

Start, or keep trolling Mike Levine, Jim Farley, and @Ford Motor Company every chance you can on social, especially Twitter. Every post they make i reply asking about our Bronco’s with airbag recalls. And to anyone else who might fee the need to chime in here about trolling, or being rude...
  2. Airbag Recall thread..

I know they’re reading from a script, but when being called out for a bald-faced lie you’d think they say “okay, you’re right, got us”. I mean, to sit there and say “supply chain, Covid, no airbags” when we know they’ve built thousands since is just unbelievable. The problem is that we’re only...
  3. Airbag Recall thread..

Heads Up: Long post follows: So another update, this one more infuriating than the last, but also essentially full confirmation that @Ford Motor Company is choosing to prioritize current/future Bronco builds in the allocation of airbags for production rather than fix those Broncos with the...

Yeah, I was able to check the day that the news broke about the recall and sure enough it was listed on my account, and still is, in glaring, big red letters.

That sucks. So we’ve been discussing this over in the Airbag Recall thread and I’ve been working this from multiple angles in an attempt to gain some info/clarity. Today I went to the NHTSA website directly and downloaded both the advance notice memo from Ford and the Recall Report and it says...
  6. Airbag Recall thread..

Okay, so one more update. I went to the NHTSA website directly and downloaded both the advance notice memo from Ford and the Recall Report and it says clearly that letters/notice was to begin 11/15 and complete by 11/19. There’s also a number to call the NHTSA, which I did, and they flat out...
  7. Airbag Recall thread..

So true about government entities. I get that an official recall was put in place, but really, why does the NHTSB need to approve anything? It’s an airbag replacement, plain and simple. The unit is pulled and a new one put into place, no different that one being placed during the build process.
  8. Airbag Recall thread..

So after about a 30 min hold I finally got on with Ford CS, and got nowhere once again. They are “chatting” with someone about the question and keep getting told there’s a “process” for the airbags the dealer must follow. No shit there’s a process! What is that process is what I want to know...
  9. Airbag Recall thread..

So as some of you may or may not know, i want to apologize for the length of this, but just wanted to share all the info I have up to this point. I am of course one of the airbag folks as well and have been complaining elsewhere, specifically in the Dirt Mountain thread because I was blended...
  10. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

That’s the standard reply. I’ve called all over Ford and have been “escalated” multiple times in an attempt to get some real info and clarification on the airbag recall timeframe. I thought once “escalated” that maybe I’d be getting somewhere, but all that’ll happen is someone from Ford CS...

They shouldn’t be having to beg for help in the first place. That seems to be the point many people are missing here. Ford screws people nonstop, craps all over their customers, completely fumbles this launch, and for some reason we are expected to grovel at the feet and kiss the ring of Mike...
  12. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

There’s no entitlement here, and no one is bashing anyone without cause. Ford clearly has an issue here though, and they are going out of their way to avoid giving even the most basic of info. And as for the entitlement statement, I’ve never understood how people can be apologists for Ford’s...
  13. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

The issue though is that claiming no parts doesn’t fly when they’re able to keep producing new units off the line while those built months ago sit and wait for the recall to get fixed. Simple solution is pull 553 airbags from the line and ship them out overnight to the dealers with the affected...
  14. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

No one would need to be belligerent if they communicated anything at all, beyond “hang in there” and shipping out Bas flags and hammocks, as if those somehow alleviate them from doing things right to begin with and making them right ASAP as opposed to leaving those folks hanging out to dry.
  15. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

You know, respect has to be earned right? I would argue that neither @mrlevine, nor Ford have justified that to date with this launch. I would also argue that respect is built upon trust, something the Ford has not delivered on either, whether that be the shifting allocation formula, the...
  16. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

He’s never responded to me, so who knows how he chooses who to reply to.
  17. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

While that may be true, are we to believe that in the almost month and a half that this recall has been active that someone at Ford couldn’t find time to punch a part number into their system to get it set up?
  18. *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker***

That sucks, I’m in same boat. I don’t get how they say that the part is so new that there’s no part number for it. I call BS on Ford there, because they have the parts to build the Broncos with, but somehow didn’t bother creating a part number? Total BS and a convenient excuse for them to use.

Ours is not the Takata airbags issue. It’s a separate one that has a stop sale on the until repaired due to the possibility that the airbag may not inflate properly.
