By the way, here’s the exact email that I received from the liaison on the airbag recall:
“Ford Motors sent out interim owner notification letters on November 15, 2021 and stated that the parts are not available. Due to Covid, many manufacturers are having a hard time manufacturing parts. I’m...
If Ford is telling you that it’s in the hands of the NHTSA then they’re lying to you. I actually contacted the person listed as the liaison within the agency in the NHTSA documents whose job is to coordinate with Ford. She flat out told me that it’s all in Ford’s hands and that they’ve been...
Maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll repair it before shipping out, but I doubt it. It sure seems like they intend for the dealers to be the ones to fix it whenever Ford decides to get off their ass and make the part available along with an official bulletin. I’ve been built since 8/4, was sent...
And what qualifies as “late Q4” exactly? I mean, today is 12/1, so that’s pretty damn late in Q4 if you ask me. These ridiculous generalities need to stop at this point. Give a specific date, simple as that Ford. Parts exist because they’re being used in new builds, so this late Q4 seems to...
I am also part of this same group, built 8/4, sent to DM, hit with airbag recall during transit to dealership and now sitting there with stop-sale. I haven’t been able to get anyone to commit to any specific date on this issue. The only answer I’ve been given is Q4, which we are in and only...
Hey Cat, totally respect that and would very much appreciate you passing this along if you don’t mind. I didn’t know we had someone within Ford Warranty on hers, but if they have info they can actually share then we’d be very appreciative.
As for everything else, I’ve beaten on every door I...
Who did you email and what are their addresses? I have been trying to get truthful info from absolutely anyone about the airbag recall. I suppose you could say that at least they’re trying to address this issue unlike many of the others you listed, but the lack of communication and utterly...
Oh yeah, they are damn nice, but I set a $50k budget and my Wildtrak is right on that number with the high pack. I know trucks are just crazy expensive these days, but just can’t bring myself to spend $65k on one.
So I texted my dealer and they said they would check, but I would also touch base with your dealer before moving forward, just to make sure, because my salesman texted this to me:
“Let me check with service. I hope that person didn’t void their recall. We have a bulletin that states if we order...
But we know the part exists, otherwise thousands of Broncos wouldn’t have been produced after ours. They’re purposely choosing not to make a part number available, although I found the part # in the NHTSA paperwork. You can see the part # for the “remedy part” listed here:
As for getting...
A new line worker for Joyson, the airbag supplier, not anyone on a Ford line directly. That being said, doesn’t matter that it wasn’t a Ford worker, it’s still Ford’s problem and they refuse to correct it or provide any info about when it might happen. Mine was built 8/4 and sent to DM for...
Nope, not a damn thing, and forget trying to get answers from anyone. Mike Levine purposely ignores any and all tough questions posed on social media too. So much for being a VP of “communications”. I’d be embarrassed to claim that title if I were him with Ford’s horrible handling of all...
I would do the same, but problem is you can’t touch a Tremor for less than $60k, and that assumes you go with the XLT that’s missing features and only has Mid package. Go for the high pack Lariat and you’re upper $60k to lower $70k range. Just insane prices.
I just keep going after them with every post they put up on Twitter. Levine just posted a story where he was angry that some article called Ford and dealers out charging rediculous ADM on their EVs. He claimed it was unsubstantiated from a Reddit forum and questioned their “journalistic...
Well they are legit on Twitter. They’ve actually replied to me there, though it was completely useless. Better to just flame the hell out of Mike Levine and Jim Farley, especially when they retweet something from an automotive media source, since they’ll get tagged in the reply too.
Yeah, makes no sense, but logistics aside, are we really supposed to believe a multi billion dollar global company can’t figure out how to call up UPS and overnight airbags to dealer with affected Broncos? Come on @Ford Motor Company, how about replying with an honest answer for once here! Put...
