They can and have figured this out. There are many posts about it. They offer it on the Badlands. They simply choose not to offer it on the Black Diamond.
Serious question (for the record, I'm not at Granger):
If I did want to change dealers, why would another dealer even want my reservation at this point?
If allocations are not based on the original premise, per Ford, that reservations would be built before dealer stock ... then what's in it for...
FTFY.
Cadillac just did this with the Blackwings. Admittedly on a much smaller scale, but they did it correctly. They limited reservations to what they could surely build in 2021, and it was a small quantity relative to subsequent dealer allocations, so they could do it both ways. My...
Not exactly. If you haven't taken delivery of a Bronco, they hold a $200 (IIRC) deposit until you do. So it would cost you $200 if you attended but then later cancelled your order. At least that's what they had me do when I went.
Yeah, I'm talking about traction control, sorry. What Jeep calls BLD (brake lock differential).

Does the Bronco not have this? (I thought it did.) If yes, then the performance in the video I linked to...
165 on my VFR (on a long downhill, it wouldn't otherwise do that)
130 on my SV (at Road Atlanta, while getting passed like I was standing still by liter bikes)
125 in my Integra
~113 in a Ford Contour SE (electronically limited)
Sadly, I never tested my modified BMW 335i before I sold it. :(
Wouldn't it make more sense to attend the Off-Roadeo (while you have a pending order) and THEN cancel your Bronco AFTER you attend? They do charge a nominal fee to attend but I doubt it covers their costs. Not saying it would make much impact to Ford, but I think it would make *more* impact.
It depends on how you plan to use the vehicle. I agree with a lot of what has been said in this thread (you should get it, you don't need it, etc.). If you need 4WD for off-roading, you don't need 4A (it will be clear when you need 4H or 4L). You may want it for slippery situations on the...
Interesting response, considering Gamecock's screen image, screen name, and location. Now that Texas is an SEC state, you should recognize two of the three clues. ;) And the location should speak for itself.
Question: Did Ford also send similar notification emails directly to the reservation holders?
*If not*, then ... I believe Ford shares the blame. By taking reservations directly from end customers I believe Ford owes it to those end customers to better communicate with them. Yeah, the dealer...
Well, I was more "curious" than "on the fence." But I did drive both the manual and the automatic, and try out all the electronics including TTA, at the Texas Off-Roadeo. You're right, the decision *was* obvious. Manual, all the way.
1) You can just buy a manual now if you want.

2) You'll find it's rather small, such that you might even re-think your opinion about reading it on a computer. :)
Do the Moab, Las Vegas, and New Hampshire sites have a "high-speed" track like they do in Austin? We had a blast on that track!
Fast forward to 21:45 or so.
Yeah, I was just stating what Ford did. Not trying to equate Baja to Sport, I'm aware they're different, and the consequences. FWIW, I'm happy to have Sport in my Black Diamond (if/when I ever get it).
I'm not saying it's not a pain in the ass (to have the vehicle shut off when you don't...
