  1. GMRS Radio install? Antenna and mic location

No the dash mount is fine, its the metal disc that you normally stick on the back of your phone that is falling off the handset easily. I should be able to just use the original screw from the stock handset mount to hold that on.
  2. GMRS Radio install? Antenna and mic location

I pretty much followed TrailRecon's video except for the variances which you see in my video. I'll need to drill a hole and screw that metal plate onto the back of the handset, the double sided tape fell off lol.
  3. Rough Country Winch plate for modular bumper (Coming soon)

I just messaged RC again and they now said this winch plate is 4-6 weeks out, and they did not have a price yet. I guess I'll keep waiting.
  4. GMRS Radio install? Antenna and mic location

Using the upfitter switch is satisfying. Also, having the radio wired up to a switch will prevent any parasitic power draw when the radio is off (if any). Here is my setup right now. I may relocate the main box to somewhere more hidden. I saw someone put it behind the panel under the steering...
  5. GMRS Radio install? Antenna and mic location

I did mine to switch 5, since the Midlands website says it only uses 3.5A at high power transmit and the lowest switch is 10A. Make sure you keep the in-wire fuse. I mounted mine near the glove box so I connected power to the brown/white wire in the glove box, and then in the engine bay...
  6. Exhaust Suggestions?

I heard the AFE Apollo GT in person and it sounded great from the outside. I decided to order that one. My only concern is done inside on the highway. I'll find out after I install it.
  7. Wireless Android auto

Do you guys have cases on your phones? That will reduce the charge efficiency dramatically.
  8. Is the B&O system worth the cost?

The B&O is pretty good, not as good as the Fender system in our VW. Is it worth $2300 by itself? No, but IMO the adaptive cruise control is more important, and all the other stuff you get combined together for the lux is worth it as a package. Note: if you do get B&O, make sure you set the...
  9. DRL settings in Forscan

Thats what I set on mine but my amber bar DRLs turn off with low beams... You sure you didn't have the headlights switch set to auto?
  10. Least expensive B&O upgrade

I found changing the sound settings to Surround in the Bronco's sound settings made a huge improvement, it should have came with that enabled from factory IMO.
  11. Updated: A little Caliper love - painting calipers Cyber Orange

The orange calipers look good. I've done G2 caliper epoxy on other cars, I need to see if I can get a nice matching orange with them.
  12. Rough Country Winch plate for modular bumper (Coming soon)

I dont think there is a serious concern, plus there is still airflow around the ACC sensor since that is not blocked. I personally plan to get a winch with a control pack relocation kit so that will reduce its frontal surface area impact.
  13. Rough Country Winch plate for modular bumper (Coming soon)

Anyone seen anything new on this? I've been waiting for it to pop up on RCs site but no ETA makes the wait hard. UPDATE: it looks like these will be available this month!
  14. DRL settings in Forscan

I toyed around with a ton of settings in forscan trying to see whats possible. I was able to get the amber DRLs with the headlights off but no luck with other settings. It looks like the spreadsheet is incorrect, since 04 actually sets the blinker to turn, DRL, and position, and its the position...
  15. Did anyone's "chime" sounds change recently?

I've noticed it will switch between the speakers and the cluster, I haven't quite figured out the conditions that cause it to switch.
  16. Badlands as Daily Driver?

I dialy my badlands sasquatch and found the high speed dampening of the bilstiens is surprisingly harsh, like similar to my 2016 VW GTI, but it's tolerable. If you don't mind that and the terrible gas mileage it's a good daily. The lux adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist is nice since...
  17. BL/BD MGV vs Leather

It definitely goes up the back, it doesn't go to the outer edges to like the corner of your shoulders but its definitely bottom and back cushions.
