Mine is a 2018, had 5k on it when I bought it in '19. Now has 13k, with at least half of that track miles. This motor seems to be solid, no oil use, sees 8k rpm every lap. Only had one cam phasing solenoid go bad so far - no damage, just a simple replacement. It is a a really good car out of...
Here is the video I was looking for, from the offrodeo in TX. Around the 5:15 mark they get to drive the 2.3-7spd hard on a smooth course and were happy.
From the ridealong videos, and now one of the off rodeo videos, the drivers and passengers all comment that the 2.3 has plenty of power and response. 2.7 should give people a nice v8 style feel of torque everywhere.
I chose the 2.3 manual to save a few $ as this is not our primary car. I...
I like the beadlock look, and am drawn to these. Black rhino odessa Comes in 17x9.5 with a +12 offset
If you are chasing light weight instead, they have this 'chase' wheel @24lbs for 17x9
Thanks to all that have been great sources of information and insight. The ordering and allocation information alone from dealer/industry insiders has been so helpful in understanding what's going on, and maximizing chances of securing a build this year.
There is so much good info here...
RTR or Method. The Fuel style with the faux ring and lots of busy small details, will make the center spoke section look very small on a 17" wheel. I like that detail better on 20" sized wheels as the proportions just seem better. I like what RTR is doing as it is a very fresh style .
I love this look, with the roof rails. Some vintage bronco, but also OG land rover vibes. It makes me regret not adding SAS to my CO badlands order. I think I need to look for some takeoff sas wheels once these hit the ground.
The sliver bronco (badlands?) has the same size tires as the jeep - 33" 285/70/17 KO2s. The AMB sas has the nicer 35" 315, on wheels that are 1" wider than the jeeps (17x8.5 vs 17x7.5) so it makes a big difference.
This seems to be the issue that causes the most frustration. When we get to see the internal memo's from Ford, to me they make sense - they state clearly what's wrong, and show the options and plans, and what should be communicated to the customer. But Dealer to customer communication is a...
The bilstien ESCV shocks have increased damping in the bottom out and top out zone, functioning like a bypass shock like the raptors have to ride smoothly on small hits, and also absorb the big hits. A standard king or fox shock with reservoirs does not have that capability. Keep that in mind...
Glad to see the badland's last night at the PITs. I was there about 7:30-8 and there was hardly anyone there. They looked great even on 33's, the optional wheels with MTs look good. Really liked the race red, it has some real punch in person with all the dark trim.
Brings back a bunch of memories, I had a '92 sport 2dr auto, and later a '94 sport manual. Then later a '98 4dr. They were better vehicles than I realized at the time. The '98 with the sohc v6 and 5spd auto was the best running, good economy, good towing too.
