  1. Jumping Ship? - What's Your Plan B Vehicle Purchase?

I've been on the hunt for a used (2018-ish) Subaru Forester for a while. It'd meet my needs, cost half as much as the Bronco, and be cheaper to insure, maintain, etc. Problem is, I'd want a manual and the low-mileage six-speed Foresters are few and far between...
  2. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Do we know how many got scheduled on this last round? I know it's not a super accurate indicator, but I'm curious if it's staying consistent at 5-ish per month for SAC. I think I'm somewhere around number 100 on the list at the moment. So if it's steady at 5 a month, I don't need to check back...
  3. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Well, this is exciting. Congrats to you guys who got scheduled! Maybe I've moved up from like 100 to 95 on the list now...
  4. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Ah, perfect. I assumed it was something that Ford sent to everyone. Just wanted to be sure. It'd suck to wait for literally years then have my order cancelled. Ha.
  5. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

I know John's still working through all the COVP stuff, but did the rest of you guys get an email from Ford today saying you need to update your order for 2023 or it'll get cancelled? (Sorry if this is old news, I haven't followed the forum super closely lately.)
  6. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

I've given up on trying to track my place in line on the spreadsheet. It's ultimately irrelevant. Only thing that matters is what the monthly allocation ends up being. If it sticks at 5 units or less, then who cares if I'm number 60 or number 160. I won't be seeing a Bronco this year... Sigh.
  7. Good Loan Interest Rate Currently?

Ugh, this stresses me out. I guess I've just always timed it when rates were low, but my last several vehicle purchases had loan percents around 1.0%, 1.1%, .9%, etc. Anything over 3% makes my stomach turn...
  8. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

John's definitely busy. I kind of harassed the poor guy Friday. He shot me a note this morning saying he did, indeed, get my COVP. So he's for sure working through them. Probably swamped with emails.
  9. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

I just sent my COVP info to John. I'm sure this makes it much more of a headache for him - but emailing a copy of your driver's license (along with your signature) is terrible from a security standpoint. I've been adding mine to a restricted folder in Google Drive and sharing it only with...
  10. 2023 Bronco and Raptor Order Guide [Updated 12/1/22]

I know we go through this every year, but am I reading it correctly that mid package is now available on Black Diamond with 2.3/7MT...?
  11. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

I hope that's true (that COVP trims down a lot of orders). But something tells me the list at SAC is pretty much all legit buyers who will gladly verify...
  12. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Is it really "thousands" though? Or by the end of 2023 would it be a couple hundred people at Granger and a few dozen left at SAC? I dunno... I could just see them reaching the point where they scrap the whole reservation list and say, "Just go place a new retail order."
  13. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Not trying to "doom and gloom", but is there a point at which Ford might just cancel remaining unfulfilled orders/reservations? Like, if this allocation thing goes on for another year (or more), I'm sure there's a point at which the remaining few dozen old reservations aren't worth Ford's time...
  14. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Gah, this is why I'm relatively okay with the interminable wait with SAC. John rules. Nothing infuriates me more than getting the fine-print from a car dealer and seeing 600 bucks for paint protection, 150 for nitrogen in the tires, 400 for pinstriping, etc - all of which I specifically ask NOT...
  15. Comparison: Bronco vs Jeep (spoiler) Bronco hate by LiteBrite

FWIW, I watched this last night and basically agreed with all their points. As a previous Subaru owner, the exact reason I migrated up the capability chain is because I reached the limits of what a Subaru can do offroad. I think LB is spot on in saying the Bronco takes over where a Subaru hits...
  16. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

I'm no Ford loyalist. The only reason I'm still on board for a Bronco is because it's the only vehicle that "checks all my boxes". If I could fit safely & comfortably in a JL Wrangler, the Bronco would be meaningless to me. But, as it is, the Bronco is the only 4x4 with a manual trans that a...
  17. Sayonara! Sold my Bronco and bought a Crosstrek.

I sold my Crosstrek last year in anticipation of getting the Bronco. Every time I see another xtrek out on the road, I get seller's remorse. It was probably my favorite car I've ever had. If it weren't for its abysmal power and total inability to climb any kind of grade offroad, I'd have...
  18. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

I bought a used Jeep Wrangler from Mark Ficken back in January. It was one of the best, easiest, most honest car-buying experiences I've had. I asked them at that time about Bronco orders. They weren't able to take new orders then, but the sales guy told me they were honoring MSRP. My "plan" was...
