Go look under a 2020 and a 2021 suburban, with the IRS setup they may as well go ahead and lose the frame as well and complete its transformation to minivan, the Expedition is just as bad.
IRS is a death sentence when it comes to a competent offroader.
Fullsize Bronco wouldn’t need just be 2...
We haven’t had a 2 door full-size in decades, it’s hard to say there’s no demand. Likewise the market for a full-size 2 door is likely much larger today than it was in the 90s when demand was last satiated. I mind you the 2 door Wrangler doesn’t sell well at all, so why is Ford marketing a 2...
I’m just pointing out the obvious, a unibody vehicle is not an off-road vehicle. What difference does it make how the Bronco, an off-road SUV, compares to a tall car based vehicle.
I agree on the GoPro mounts, that’s pretty damn gimmicky.
Obviously the other two points just speaks to the “journalists” not having a very worldly viewpoint, likely from caving up in big cities their entire lives instead of seeing the world.
I must be missing something, it’s hardly surprising a BOF truck based SUV is bigger and more imposing than a little mommy car, these are not competing products.
What? No.
3.73 would be a lot slower pulling off the line than a 4.46 or better a 4.70.
3.73 is for highway driving with small(er) tires. Search the threads on this forums, there has to be hundreds of threads on this now.
Wouldn’t be caught dead in a crossover type vehicle so hell no.
I would drive a minivan(similar vehicle) but never will I get caught driving a crossover.
They’re all very basic acronyms any gearhead would pick up without a double take, didn’t think I need to baby it down.
And really I only see 3 acronyms
GM - General Motors
FCA - Fiat Chrysler Auto
SRT - FCAs performance division
Oh and one abbreviation
Mfgs - Manufacturers.
Little difference either way, bunch of cute Utes with outdoorsy names appealing to the REI crowd isn’t much ta-do in the word of BOF (real)SUV off-roaders.
I have to imagine this is due to where some live. I put my 2017 SS sedan into Carvana and they returned $39.5k, I know I could do better given it’s a manual private party
Also tried my mothers 4Runner for shits and giggles, it’s a 2016, they offered $24.5k which is right in line with what I...
This is a very good point.
If you drive an F150 with 3.23 gears on 33s and get into a Bronco with 4.46 gears on 33s it’s going to make a hell of a difference.
I would test drive the 2.7L, the general consensus on the forum is that it’s plenty powerful enough but my experience with it in an F150 was disappointing for someone that’s driven V8s my whole life. Now granted the Bronco will probably weigh less so that should help somewhat.
I don’t understand the appeal in the built in 3rd row, I would much rather remove it completely if unneeded, between that change and going to IRS they look like handicap minivans with the stupid lift.
Changes no one asked for. I will take the capability over the vanity.
