They were clearly shopping in the wrong segment for their needs anyways if they can so easily switch from an SUV to a crossover like itās no big deal.
For a $25k+ difference to have more engine and similar sized tires and equipment I would make the jump without a 2nd thought.
Im glad our prices arenāt that insane.
It IS possible, but as I mentioned highly inefficient and wasteful.
I understand why aftermarket does it, since those vehicles werenāt designed for that.
Itās just highly inefficient for a new vehicle manufacturer to convert to mechanical power and then send that through a drivetrain vs...
Iām curious how much difference that will make, weāre at the point now where most modern vehicles are pretty damn safe, the biggest risks are long term injuries from getting catapulted around when a larger vehicle is involved. Which may be where that would be helpful.
Im sure with time they get better, personally for me if a V8 is unavailable I would rather go EV than 4/6 cylinder. I hope EVs can one day close the gap, leave us the better ICE vehicles while taking up the slack and replacing the less desirable powertrains.
Then again I would also prefer if...
Iāve seen that exact same post made since the 1990s on the internet. EV owners have a 25% chance of switching back to gas powered vehicles which is better than I would have thought but seems to hint theyāre not for everyone.
Non-Tesla EVs also have very low take rates, and even Tesla sales have...
The drivetrain of the Bronco and a potential EV version does not seem compatible, you donāt just hook a motor up in place of an engine/trans, no sense in sending power through two axles as that causes losses in efficiency that are vital when building such a vehicle.
To that end you end up with...
Hardly any different than someone just walking up and setting your house on fire, thereās nothing stopping them.
I didnāt think people still siphoned fuel, seems like a 20th century issue. No ones going to siphon out $50 of fuel($40 if itās a 2 door with a full tank), and I have to imagine the...
Itās not an SUV as it does not have a ladder frame.
Itās an old Mercedes unibody platform - I suppose minivan would be more apt, and no itās a pretty limited platform as are all traditional IRS unibodies. Good for what it is? Perhaps, but thatās a very weak praise.
The old Cherokee/GC with...
Auto 4wd is reactive, All wheel drive is proactive.
Essentially an auto 4wd is 2wd until it detects slip at which time is locks in traditional 4x4 for a time before unlocking.
All wheel drive is always sending power to all 4 wheels, the best way to tell the difference is in snow. If you floor a...
Donāt threaten me with a good time.
No honestly a semi HD full-size would be perfect, kinda like an H2 that has the 2,200lb payload capacity, you never feel like the payload is going to run out.
