You can twist those 2 loads together and put on one switch The backlight draws very little power. There is no need for a ground for the backlight as it's integrated into the main circuit board in the light.

For the Backlight wire/wires if running aux switches and installing into that point you just select the switch you want them ran to (we choose 6) use a Butt Connector from a auto parts store to make the connection. If you have any other questions I am happy to answer them!
