So we did not see much change in mpg after the break-in period. It's been pretty consistent since we have had it. But here is more info about how we drive our Bronco.
We mostly use our Bronco for road trips to get to off-road trails. For the most part, we drive between 65 and 75 MPH. One...
We have had our Bronco for about 2.5 months and have put 7,000 miles on it. It has been phenominal, on and off the road! We took it on the Hog's Back Jeep trail yesterday. This was the most extreme trail that we have taken the Bronco on so far. Not crazy extreme but it keeps you on your toes...
I disabled Auto Start Stop through Forscan but it is not a very elegant solution. It "tricks" the system by modifying the "Charging System". So every time I start my vehicle, I get a message on my dash that says, "Charging System Service Soon". I have to manually click OK to get rid of the...
We now have 5,400 miles on our 4-door Bandlands non-sas with the 2.7. Our overall mpg since we purchased it is 20.1 mpg. It gets slightly better than our son's 2021 Wrangler Rubicon with the Pentastar 3.6.
I have fallen in love with the 2.7 engine! It has very good trail manners, tows well...
So we have about 5,000 miles on our Bronco and will be adding another 2,000 next week. I have to agree with Justin and his observations. I have gotten used to many of the minor complaints that I had earlier. But our biggest complaints remain:
Rear seats don't fold flat. We sleep in the back...
It's interesting that this thread has so many comments about weight distribution and the sag. Sitting in our flat driveway, we adjusted the trailer so that it was level, had good tongue weight and I was comfortable with the little bit of sag that it had. Remember that the picture was taken on...
We have a group that we ride with regularly. They are mostly RZR with a couple of Can-Ams and other brands. You really can't go wrong with any of the newer modern SxS. We love the suspension of the RZR. The Bronco suspension is great but the SxS suspensions are better, especially when going...
Coolant temp wasn't an issue. It never went over 218. However I was watching the trans temp very closely. While on the highway, it seemed to be ok, even when climbing. However, once we got on the dirt road and was going much slower, the trans temp rose to 221. That's the highest I've seen...
The Bronco's suspension is definitely softer than the Suburban's. I was surprised with the squat so we played around with moving the RZR forward and back until we felt good about the tongue weight.
I have to start out by saying that someone who owns diesel trucks will have a different perspective than I have. To them, the Bronco 2.7 will probably be way under-powered. However, my background in towing has mainly been with the Dodge Durango with the 5.2 and the Chevy Suburban with the 5.3...
