  3. Why is the Toyota 4runner "behind?"

If the Bronco can STEP UP ITS GAME in reliability to the level of Toyota I will be amped, but I doubt it. Nonetheless, weighing everything I am still sold and excited to get the Bronco.
  4. 2.3l w/manual. Overland thoughts.

The 2.3 will easily get the job done. I am just concerned it is a 100K engine and replace scenario; hence the 2.7. For all the 2.7 haters, the 2.3 has plenty of performance and it seems all I see is performance this and performance that. Long term reliability plays a bigger factor for me. Both...

  10. Will first generation Bronco prices go down because of new Bronco?

I totally agree with you. With the Bronco heritage awareness elevates people that have never seen nor heard anything about vintage Broncos probably make up half of the current fans and this website. It's is herd mentality so to speak. Look at all the Jeep sales; most do not even get time off...

Not only that, they are wide too. I love them though.
  12. 4-Door Too Small?

I think a 4D is only good for a couple, two small children and maybe a small dog. I have had a handful of 4Runners and I anticipate the Bronco being smaller; especially in the cargo area. Good luck.
  13. What will Ford offer to go 37s?

With the Bronco I do not think I will step up to 37s and if I do, I will go with Dana 60s. I will be happy with the 35s.
  14. Transmission Gearing Question

Yep, it is a pain. For the benefit of the thread, we have discussed this in other threads and it is of the upmost importance to get your backlash and pinion depth right. If not, you may shell your gears. Been there, done that. It is easy to mess up if you do not know what your doing and even...
  15. Transmission Gearing Question

I feel 35s will be fine. If you go to 37s re-gear.
  16. Transmission Gearing Question

You will be fine with the 4.70s for the 35s. Gearing depends on a lot of factors. I ran 410s on 40s, 538s on 32s and 488s on 35s.

  19. Killing a Friend

Good story, I thought I was on Watchuseek Forums...
  20. .

I have had all types of lockers. Fulltime lockers on my crawlers on the road turning can be annoying chirp chirp chirp.... Front and rear lockers take the capabilities to the next level and the lockers on the Bronco are much more user friendly.
