I agree with you on a set up like this for a family. Some of these trailers like the one in your picture offer a surprisingly big camp feel. I will most likely go this route, but time will tell.
Defender, if you have not already done so reserve it for the refundable $100. As for the October deadline I believe it is a logistics issue for Ford dealerships as many are privately owned; therefore, Ford wants to lock in dealer builds.
I am with you on the Bronco purchase even if I had more mula to throw at a vehicle I would still be getting the Bronco. You can get the Bronco and this trailer for a tiny fraction less than the $100K the Wagoneer will cost and actually be able to take it into the woods.
If I was going to spend that type of money I would go all out on a F250/350 Overland Expedition vehicle. IMHO the Wagoneer out-priced itself by $30-$40K. Just saying
For me, I have rolled many vehicles crawling. I am anticipating an aftermarket crossbar to add to the Bronco. If not I will make my own. I am not a fan of not have something over my head. I am a fan of the steel used, just not the design.
