I didn't see anyone mention yet but the floor trays leave a gap of carpet exposed for about 4 inches up to the nearest plastic. Guessing it was to convince people to upgrade to BD/BL flooring...Maybe aftermarket will eventually be better there. Anyone think that's a problem too? Just trying to...
@Chief1301 You can see their original instagram post here:
They have a cool photoshop of it on Bronco. They also said in the comments I recall, fits on 2 door also
Super high quality, I've seen videos on youtube of guys who sleep in negative degrees in that tent.
The Go Fast superlite tent will be almost half the price of the Yakima, goes up easier too, and is lighter. I plan to not give Ford extra interest for a tent :D
I'm just trying to dispell the myths (which were probably once true) that Toyota uses ancient tech, lacks amenities and is more expensive for it. Those who don't need a removable roof and doors, still have opportunities to look elsewhere and even save money.
Compared to Bronco, Toyota 4runners...
Good points, 4runner should be cheaper.
However just out of curiosity I did some digging on 2020 current year 4runner, everything standard for TRD offroad ($39k), offroad premium ($42k), and TRD Pro:
standard:
apple carplay / android auto
adaptive cruise control
Smart key (intelligent access...
I'm having the same issues....I'm actually shocked by the pricing and how B&P just won't let things be affordable. I just checked out brand new 4runners and Tacoma's on Toyota B&P tool, which are my other alternatives, and TBH, it seems like Toyota is actually the cheaper option even brand...
Neighbors have 32" tires on new f150 fx4. same size. They look really big, I was shocked when I looked at the size number it's the same as BD so I'm good with them stock
To save on the money, fuss, and weight penalty of a tent, why not just sleep in the perfectly good seats Ford provides? Does anyone know how far back these recline in the new Bronco?
It seems like they should be designing the seats to recline as much as possible so you are almost laying...
Thanks I've been watching them for almost a year, and I enjoy the outdoors and dirt roads are fine, just don't want to push my street suv too hard out there, but I want to go further out and see what it's like to have the butt cheeks clench up once or twice to see if I'm game or not :D
What if someone doesn't know what level of offroading/overlanding they enjoy? Is it best to rent something and go with a group first a few times? I saw some 4runners for $150 per day near me, already with rooftop tent and stuff.
