Are the goat modes really that important? Every other 4x4 gets by fine without them. Maybe it's the Baja crowd that cares most about them and I'm just an outsider
Anyone feeling bad about not getting wireless charging via Lux...It seems like Ford placed this placard in the perfect spot on purpose for us lowly peons. Some manufacturer should design a wireless phone charge that connects at these 2 Bronco bolt locations, and kinda hangs down into the phone...
Different ways. I think we are all just trying to explore a minimal way of approaching the Bronco purchase. Seeing what we can do without. The discussion is good because it forces us to think critically about what we do and don't need for 2 doors.
A few ideas for food without needing a fridge--...
Which MSR tent did you get? Thinking of doing this too and it would double as a backpacking tent, free up the roof, and if a group decides to go overnight hiking from base camp I could go with them
My explorer 2015 has this too. Never been an issue but, I've thought about it. Parking at a lot high in the mountains, and backpacking or something coming back 2 days later to an empty tank would suck.

But is there a chance that welding would be required for base to add it? Or is it always self-installable add on once aftermarket catches up?
When loading my 2 door, I'm planning on bringing only my backpacking pack, loaded up. Why not? Maybe a pack of bottled waters that's it. Of course a recovery strap but that always stays inside. And anyone who comes with me friends etc. are allowed only what they can carry on their backs...
Sleeping:
I'd really love to see how far back the 2 front seats can go. Maybe we don't need a RTT after all and you can load up the roof with stuff too. I know some people that sleep in their seats like that. Another option is a hammock. Attach one end to your bronco and another to a tree...
I was waiting for someone to post this thread. Some points that I hope can sway us both to stay with 2 door at purchase:
Less is more. Have you ever gotten so obsessed with the tangible gear for a hobby, that you spent more time researching, buying, testing new gear than ACTUALLY enjoying the...
