This is true. It is strongest on the pulling.
That sag must be open space between hitch and receiver though. Maybe the rack itself sagging some.
I've done some brutal things with structural steel, and 6065 t6 aluminum.
You could hang a car off one sideways. Pretty hard to bend a solid chunk...
The torque converter is probably locked up going slow in 4wd.
Have you tried replicating in the different modes?
Tried replicating at normal driving speeds in 2wd?
I think it's just trying to rev match, so it doesn't blow the drivetrain up. But it's an automatic so it's still transmitting power.
Try just not doing that, or buy a real manual 😉
I appreciate the feedback!
I like your idea of going from the extraction loops. I could make it look much more suave from there. My big challenge for that is creating 90° bends with AL structural pipe.
The windshield mounts should be tied into the rollbar, it's a matter of how much the (4) 6mm...
Pedal commander is useless in bronco. Just use sport or Baja mode. If you don't have one or the either, use forscan.
You could also just move your foot more, they don't actually increase response, just takes less pedal input for the same power applied.
Personally not a fan of hood wraps, reminds me too much of high school civics.. you do you though.
The carbon fiber hoods from Anderson Composites are pretty nice!
😂 Love the honesty.
I have a rigging setup in my carport to pull it off. Takes about 10 min to remove.
I plan to make the rear wider and more rounded, to open the gate.
Main reason for going with the hitch mount is strength, the dynamic load are pretty heavy for how flimsy the mounting points...
Ladder section up top slides into the front blocks, and plops into a cope on rear goal post. Bolted connections.
It does move a smidge, not very much. Ended up adding turn buckles to the hitch section, pretty stiff now.
I had troubles getting into 3rd when I was just driving around town normal. Has never happened since. I wonder if one of the parts just has some factory burrs or something. Shifts pretty smoothly otherwise.
Nothing really directly poured on the screen, vents or steering column.
They got a little wet, but it's pretty hard to get water on them unless your malicious.
Everything else got pretty drenched. No issues.
Pretty easy to dry everything off by driving down the road with no top/doors.
