Took me a while but I found the answer. This bronco is Squatched, but they did not have the sasquatch heavy duty front coil springs in that it should have hence the stuffed front tires.
"Folks that were there confirmed it with the Ford reps. It was sas package, less the heavier coil springs."...
Don't worry, the new hubs in the bronco are like the raptor, they use vacuum to pull the hubs into 2wd. So every time you start it, the hubs get pulled into 2wd, so if the vacuum fails, they go into 4wd. So you will be stuck in 4wd till you fix the issue. this is nice because it wont leave you...
Thanks for this!! I am in western South Dakota and dealers here told me minimum MSRP, and they might charge more depending on market to reservation holders. So this is very helpful, I will give these guys a call!
The Getrag manual will hopefully be fine, Getrag has been around forever. Getrag makes everything from diffs in corvettes to transmissions in BMW's and so on. My personal experience with Getrag is my corvette and a 93 dodge. The manual Getrag 360 5 speed used up to 1993 in the dodges was crap...
I think if you had 33's and a rear locker you would be able to go most places. One of my broncos has 33's and a limited slip rear end and it can do almost everything, front locker is only really needed for rock crawling and deep snow wheeling. I do some decently hardcore off road, not too much...
I'm excited for you, because you have yet to experience something other than a Humvee off-road, you are going to be blown away. One huge advantage of the Humvee vs Bronco is tire size though, 37's will roll over rocks and dips very well, 30" tires will kind of be a letdown since you are used to...
Well let me rephrase, Humvees suck off-road compared to a Bronco. They get the job done, but they are a brutal ride doing it. I also drove Humvees and 7 tons all around the world and deserts. Up crazy mountains crawling on rocks as well. What I really meant to say is Humvees suck compared to a...
Humvees suck off road honestly. The Bronco will blow your mind on how it performs compared to a Humvee. 7 tons actually do very well for their size, at least you will be able to self recover the bronco easier than a 7 ton!
I actually live in the Badlands, SD, and reserved a Badlands 2 door. Here is my 95 in the Badlands. Keep in mind there is no off-roading at all in the Badlands, there is a couple gravel roads, but the rest is paved. You can mess around on the Grasslands nearby and do some creek crossings though!
Man this seems like a grey area now. Right above the highlighted text they said "Ford motor Company will be doing its best to build the all new Ford Bronco in the order they were reserved at the dealership." So what if your dealer gets your order in the day order banks open up vs in January...
"Actual orders in the dealer's order bank will be time stamped and this will generally determine the order in which each dealer's orders will be selected for scheduling; note that this is the time the order is put in the order bank by us, not the time when you placed your reservation."
This...
