Yep! My 7MT Badlands is scheduled for the first week of January. Had to chat with Ford to get the update with the VIN as they didnāt send my dealer or me an email. But real happy to be among the first batch of ā24s being built.
Margin is where the profit is derived. Iām taking that into account. Iām responding to the claim this new contract immediately leads to price increases in my post. Over time as costs go up prices go up. But itās not like Ford immediately passes a new labor contract onto consumers directly with...
This is not how economics work. Price is a factor of supply and demand. If Ford believed they could sell vehicles at higher prices, they would be already. They arenāt setting prices at current levels out of the kindness of their hearts. They set them based on what they believe they can sell...
This is not true. That was for the 2023 model year due to reconfiguration of the production line for the Ranger. They are taking orders for manuals in 2024 and confirmed mine for my Badlands back in August, the day the MY 24 order banks opened. And if you look at price and build, it is indeed an...
I went with the non-SAS Badlands but I was only interested in a manual, so my choice was easier than yours in that sense. If I were ordering an OBX I would opt to SAS it, but I donāt think itās ever really worth adding SAS to the Badlands, especially with the updated ā24 configuration that...
Until they upgrade the manual gearbox, the 2.3L will be here to stay. That gearbox is only rated to handle under 400 ft/lbs of torque, which is why it canāt be paired with the 2.7L engine. And I canāt see Ford removing the MT option entirely. That would basically just give Jeep all the sales...
If removing the badge stickers with a hairdryer, is it possible to relocate them? Or is the adhesive toast after removal? Iāve been thinking about taking the Badlands badges off and would like to perhaps move them to the glass windows on each side of the hardtop. Then put Bronco script emblems...
I have been waiting to be able to order a manual since I put a dealer deposit down last September (obviously couldnāt order this spring. My hopeful order next week is:
2 DR Badlands - Non Sasquatch
Eruption Green
Lux Package (will hurt my wait time)
7 MT - 2.3L
Towing
Modular bumper
Roof rack...
One piece of advice with your build ā if you are going with Badlands and a manual transmission, you should really think twice about adding Sasquatch to that build. Itās really not necessary due to the lift the Badlands comes with (almost as much as the Sasquatch) and the gear ratio upgrade...
OP wonāt be able to find a manual on the lots. Maybe used somewhere but not new. For that, itās going to require placing an order when the MY24 order banks open. The hope is that happens mid-August but we are all waiting for confirmation. And hope that manuals are available to order again when...
Thisā¦is at least what I keep telling myself. They received more m/t orders than they expected. Demand is higher than they thought it would be so it would be foolish to take that option away and let Jeep be the only m/t option on the market.
Saying this as someone who has had a dealer deposit on...
My dealer has an actual F-150 Raptor for that price. And even that still includes a $7500 āmarket adjustmentā fee. They have a Braptor on the showroom floor but I couldnāt get in to see the ADM on that one.
Oh, does trail turn assist only work with AT? I had hoped that feature would at least work in the crawler gear on the 7MT. From the videos Iāve seen, it seems like a nifty trick. But probably not one Iād be using daily. š
This is my thought process on the transmission choice. Badlands, 2D, non-Sas, 7MT, Lux hits all the sweet spot needs for my intended usage. I want to hit some trails, but I also want it to be my solid road trip machine. And I love rowing the gears. I settled for an automatic in my current BMW...
Oh yes. Iām very hopeful that the pause leads to a fix before they start making them again. If this delay allows me to avoid that issue, it will be totally worth it.
I was bummed when they pulled the MT from the options when order banks opened in March. I know itās assembly line related to accommodate the new Ranger and I know they closed the order banks on MY23 today. But I havenāt seen any news (or rumors) about the future of the manual. Iām hoping when...
An '84 Bronco II was my first car as well. I can't wait for my next car to arrive and to be a Bronco driver again. Someday. Someday. 'Til then, I'll just bask in this nostalgia...
