My first truck except there was no radio and the three speed shift on the column. It had the harsh plastic vinyl (black of course) that fried your legs if you dared to wear shorts. And I was happy to have it as teenager back in the 70's.
The Yellowstone portion of our trip in August was cancelled due to the flooding. Thanks for giving me some ideas to salvage that part of the trip. We are planning almost 5000 miles from east Tennessee to Yellowstone and back. Two full weeks on the road. Looks like you had a great trip.
That's a great trip. I did Canyon Sin Nombre and the mud caves back in the 90's. Can you still drop down from Anza and drive the canyon into the area? Coyote Canyon maybe? I can't remember the exact name but it was a fun drive. Did you catch the pictographs (petroglyphs maybe) and the grinding...
Almost twenty five years ago a co-worker got stuck trying to cross some mud flats near the port of Brownsville. The guy he called for help also got stuck. They called the Coast Guard who got stuck with their big recovery rig. Had to finally use a massive rig and several hundred yards of tow line...
I actually saw my first one in Orlando a couple of weeks ago. Since they've been shipping I've traveled extensively and failed to spot any. I expect to see more as summer approaches here in East Tennessee.
If you enjoy a good steak, Jocko's Steak House is about 15 minutes south in Nipomo. Used to be a good breakfast place in Arroyo Grande but I'm drawing a blank on the name. Ask the locals
Love Windrock, rode there many times when I had my SxS. Just sold it as the wife couldn't go anymore . There are some fun and challenging trails there. Looks like you had a great day.
I was shopping for a Telluride or Pallisade a month ago. ADM of 5-10K was the norm. Ended up buying something different with no ADM but "installed accessories" were mandatory. They asked just under 2K for these but cut it in half and upped my trade by $500 so it was not bad. Plus the value of my...
Had Nokian Rotiiva tires on my Ram and loved them. Great in rain and snow/ice. I live in Tennessee and don't have the snow issues I had in Northern New York. You might have just hit an extra icy patch under the snow.
We were out looking for a new car for the wife yesterday. Saw a Telluride in Wolf Gray marked up to 66K. They wanted 61K for a 2021 with 19K miles. Made the 4-5K ADM we saw on Pallisades look reasonable.
