Your not alone. The window frame is tied in with the roll bars. You would think if the windshield can take a 5000lb bronco upside down on it, it could take some sturdier rack mounts for more weight rating.

0 rear movement. Hitch milled .005" under receiver. Turn buckles. Billet 6061 AL rnd coped, welded. Would break before bend or twist. Any movement was in ladder on top. Bolted to coped rear post. 6061 Tube. Blocks have hole .065" over ladder tube, ladder secured by pin in the blocks. Happened...

I agree on the problem. The height of the racks front blocks were main issue though. Torque is increased further out you are. Rear of the rack was fine, had turnbuckles installed. No sway/torsion. Rear is what kept everything sturdy enough to drive home. I've seen quite a few broncos with rtt...

As far as I can see, Ford rated the racks, but nowhere does it specify what the actual mounting locations are rated for?

This is a good possibility. I'll what Ford says, if it is, they'll be taking the other one off too.

Very interesting, I'll have to bring her in and see what they say. Now that you say that, it does appear the left two buttons had good adhesion but the right three where almost just blank holes. I might be blind, where does Ford even mention the weight limits for the windshield mounts?

My rack was aluminum. Combined just over 200.

    Nailed it 👌

I've got a thread on the rack. Myn was too tall, wasn't sure on height clearance around the soft top at first. Will be going lower for less lever action.

I'm surprised how little these can take up top. Like seeing peoples cardboard factory hardtops cracking open.

  13. Recall 23C16 & Delivery Hold : Seat Belt Latch Plate Access For 2021-2023 Bronco w/ Production Build Dates 9/23/20 - 5/9/23

I see it now. Just the back seat. A couple times driving with buddies back there and one or another said he couldn't buckle up.

Finished her maiden voyage, over a week in mountains. Rack worked perfect for strength, hit some big bumps and hard corners. However, as pointed out, improvements need to be made for v1. -Widen rear to use tailgate -Figure out AL pipe bending for smooth look -Add bars from top to rear fender...
  15. AGP Bronco ProRunner Components now available for purchase

Just change the fenders. That's the only eyesore factor. Pretty minor.
  16. Best Upgrade for $200 or less…GO!

There's well over ten different ideas in this thread. All good. No wonder it's easy to spend thousands on the little things 😵‍💫
  17. Thoughts on these Mesh Soft Top windows?

I think I'll buy some of those. Cheap. Probably even help keep some rain out. I love running my soft top with the windows off the rear but water and dust suck.
  18. Thinking of selling my Hardtop

Are you still thinking of selling it?
