What wheel tire combo is the bronco on left? Black Big Bend wheels, with 255 75r17? This stance almost looks better the the bd wheels in the pic.
Also, I think the “capable” front bumper looks too wide for non sq. The “modular” (not shown in these pics) thins out at the ends and looks better...
Do you think the 3.73 gearing, 2.7 auto, would work with 285 70 r17?
I am in between base & bd 4 door. I am afraid of the 3.73 gearing limited tire size. The locker does not matter to me.
I guess worse case, 265 70/r17 (like bd stock).
I feel like the non SQ base tires/wheels are almost meant to be take offs. The tires from Big Bend & Black Diamond 32's will fit on the base.
Tires on 17" rim
Big Bend: H 32.06" x W 10.04"
Black Dia: H 31.61" x W 10.43
The million dollar question is will 285 70 r17 fit? base 3.73 gearing is...
Nobody knows the answer yet. There appears to be a ton of room but until someone tires it...
I think 285s would look good lower trim levels. The tire might be too wide without a lift. Also, might be too much tire for 3.73 gearing.
I was thinking about maybe even trying 275 70 r17. The...
You have a lot of great points. My comments below are regarding a 4 door.
I have really been struggling with tire size on this vehicle. Especially, because we have to commit to a trim level with so many unknowns. Also, not even seeing the Bronco in person.
I think SQ looks good and well...
I did not want to be the first person to say it... I had the same thought.
However, it is not a fair comparison because it is a rubicon. It is like when there was a jeep sport parked next to a Sasquatch.
I really am not liking the 265 70 tires.
I have very similar builds but also a 2.7 mid BB as well.
I am struggling with two issues, with option 1 - non SQ 2.3 4 door Base:
-the 3.73 gearing. Will this limit my tire size above 32". I would like an option to add 285 70r17 (~33's). If immediately replacing wheels and tires, I would...
