Just an FYI for an update...
The latest Forscan does provide the "better solution" that I was looking for. As shown in the spreadsheet, if you update PSCM 730-03-01, the Auto Start/Stop is disabled as expected. There are no other warnings that have to be dismissed. I'm very happy with this...
Two of our sons have Wranglers and the other has a Grand Cherokee. What do we have? A Ford Bronco! So my wife made up this vinyl sticker for the back of our Bronco. That's right, it's the Jeep Herder! 😁
When we were at just over 7,600 miles on our Badlands 2.7, our over-all MPG was 21.0! Since then we took it hunting and spent several days traveling on dirt roads between 1 and 10 miles per hour. So it has dropped since then.
Just installed ours today. 😃 It was a little bit of work cutting the holes in the right place but got'er done. It's a shame that Ford doesn't offer a set of these that are compatible with the rock rails.
That's a good question. I have the Badlands trim which does not have Sport mode. I have Baja mode but I don't want to use that all the time on paved roads. I have used Baja mode a couple of times but don't remember seeing a gear indicator on the dash while in that mode.
I have been through all the menus that I can find. None of them are related to displaying the gear indicator on the dash. If there are some that you are aware of, please let us know where they are at or how to get to them.
In regards to your comment about the reason I bought an automatic...
Went with Velocity Blue and LOVE it. I wish I would have been able to get Lightning Blue but that was only available on First Editions. But Velocity Blue was a close second and I have no regrets.
I should probably make a new thread on installing PPF. But to give a quick response, here are some thoughts:
Don't buy slip solution. You can easily make your own with baby shampoo.
You don't need much tac solution so don't buy a lot (I bought a gallon and have almost all of it left over)...
I disabled Auto Start Stop through Forscan but it is not a very elegant solution. It "tricks" the system by modifying the "Charging System". So every time I start my vehicle, I get a message on my dash that says, "Charging System Service Soon". I have to manually press OK to get rid of the...
I ordered it with my Bronco. Instructions and default code were in the glove box. I don't know for sure but I imagine if you order a keypad as an accessory, it also would come with instructions.
Are you talking about the wireless key pad attached to the driver's door that unlocks the doors without a key/FOB? Our Bronco came with a little package in the glove box that contained the default code. I successfully used it to reprogram with our code.
When we looked at pricing for full PPF, it was between $6,500 and $8,000. That price was just too high to justify. But we want to use our Bronco off-road without worrying about pen-striping from all the trees and brush. So we got the Xpel pre-cut kit. Cost us about $2,500 for all the pieces...
Good question! 😁 We ordered the headliner but it did not come with it. Our dealer was getting that worked out when MIC 2.0 was announced. So we are just waiting for our new top hoping that it will improve the wind noise.
