I’m one of the rare California CCW holders. I found a half hight lockbox for the center console on Amazon. It fits right under the lighter socket in the console and allows me to use my after market tray above the lock box. It is just big enough to fit my compact M&P Shield 9mm with my wallet...
I had the 3.0 (lion) in my Range Rover and it was a wonderful engine BUT there is a known issue with the oiling of the crank and bearing failures occur around 100,000 miles. This might have been resolved in new generations of the lion used in Ford trucks not Land Rovers...
@flip Thank you for the quick reply and posting the instruction. Last question, how does the airbag release? I would imagine there is something on the back side of the wheel that you have to push in or unscrew.
Thank you for the help.
@flip is this a direct replacement? Disconnect the battery, transfer airbag, switches, and trim ring over? Is there a special tool or will a standard puller work?

Cheap insurance for when you need to use that winch.
I can see Ford denying a warranty claim if you remove the factory liner. They will claim that damage from chemicals or heat used to remove the liner and your POS hardtop that failure won’t be covered. I would love to install this product but no way is the risk worth it.
Are there any reinforcements to the plates at the end of the frame horns? Those are known to bend when used for recovery. The mount adds a lever to to the mix which is only going to torque them more.
Good driving to keep that from turning into a real disaster. Have you considered filing a report with NTSB? No power and no brakes is dangerous off road but imagine if that happens in a high traffic intersection. Whatever computer glitch resulted for the combination of inputs needs to be...
My son has a 2 door Defender and I have a 2 door bronco. They are completely different. The defender is much more comfortable and refined. It is massively better on the highway and around town. It’s fine on dirt roads and with some mods it does ok basic trails but I wouldn’t take it too far...
