yeah - we miss Vegas. one of our favorite places that we have lived (Seattle twice, Richmond VA, Ponte Vedra Florida, Va Beach VA, and now just outside of Boston). we always said we would move back
you know what they say - happy wife, happy life and low bank balances haha!
Nice driving for sure. we will be out there in April and taking a tour with Las Vegas Rock Crawlers to double Sammy and some other trails. we are taking a multi-faceted trip to Vegas middle of April. some of it for wheeling, some to take my daughter back to her home city (hasn't been back since...
and your innovation into all of this has been greatly appreciated by the community. I know it was done with the procal unit as it needed to be ordered and it sits in my glovebox.
again, many thanks to your contributions here BMB!
my dealer installed mine last year with no issues and gave me the old 2.0 rack for spare when they were done. dropped it off in the morning and picked it up about an hour before closing. I don't have the FP tune, so I am sure that. made it easier based on previous comments where there have been...
That's exactly what it was in my case. while the lid slamming down was always an annoyance, I never bothered to check in here to see if others had the same issue until the new thread showed up and linked to the original.
Yeah - I figured based on the responses it didnāt spring open. Iām just looking for it not to slam down but do appreciate the additional clarification that the shims didnāt always solve the issue for some. I will cross my fingers and hope it does though. first world problem, I know, but itās...
I took mine apart and springs are in the location you show in the photo but mine does not spring open. still falls down as it always has. I just ordered a set of the shims mentioned in the other post. other folks have mentioned it but I think there is a variance in the spring tension that may...
valves are next for me too - the luxury of faster deflation - haha!
to get back on topic, I think that jack is pretty neat. based on the OP review, might be worth it. I don't like hi-lift jacks and some of the places we have had to use a jack have been sketchy at best. this seems pretty...
I like that mount spot but was concerned about cabin noise when airing back up. up here in the northeast, it gets cold this time of year and not sure my wife would enjoy the sweet song of the ARB serenading her.
I did install the Apex reel system. I ran air line from the compressor under the...
@Combustion_King - my setup is the same regardless of where I wheel. I am on king shocks (which I adjust for the terrain), 37s, full JCR skids, Warn Evo 10k winch, JCR winch mount, RCI 20deg sliders, Hammer Built tailgate reinforcement. Heavy duty tie rods (2 sets of spares). Next week, the...
@Combustion_King - so @SeptuagenerianSasquatch obviously hasn't been to 508. while there is a large motocross track - you will see them flying around and jumping - there are a ton of trails within the woods of the property and a rather large rock garden. if you are not prepared or take good...
I go there enough with a few friends. not really into the large groups - too slow, too many stops for it to be of much fun for me.
Have fun if you go though
I just ordered the Carli torsion bar yesterday. hoping it provides the articulation off road while minimizing body roll when on pavement. I've had the King shocks so hoping the combo is as advertised
no problem! I always thought it was interesting that it went away with the doors off. first removal of the year it works for maybe the rest of that day. after that, it does not work until I put them back on.
I've noticed mine stops working when the doors are off. I keep the doors and roof off from May until Sept/Oct depending on temps. Once I put the doors back on, it starts working again. Not sure if that is the actual cause but I have never had an issue with it not working when the doors are on...
I would just type that OP typed "To my surprise as I reached for the door..." he assumed he would have permission to touch without actually having it and the owner vehemently disapproved. Permission is not always a given. Was the reaction a bit much - probably. But who knows what kind of day...
