  1. Refusing “Mandatory” dealer add-ons?

After reading that Ford has received 230,000+ Bronco reservations, I have decided to get in line and reserve one. I was looking at my local dealers website and they charging $199 for “Capital Nitro Advantage” which is nothing more than filling the tires with nitrogen. Because I flat out refuse...
  2. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

WOW! Well done ford! I haven’t made a reservation yet because I was planning on waiting until mid 2022 when our vehicle is paid off but at this rate it seems like a reservation would be a good idea.
  3. Hard top and flare color choices

303 aerospace protectant works Extremely well. It is recommended by countless manufacturers. It was recommended for the soft top I had on my 85 bronco. I also use it on my sea eagle inflatable kayaks and they have not faded one bit. Many swear by some of these black restoration products...
  4. Swaybar disconnect. Worth the upgrade to badlands?

I’m pretty sure it reconnects at 20mph. I can’t find the source but will update with a link as soon as I find it. You bring up a good point about improving the ride quality over bumpy trails. Hopefully ford allows us to somehow cancel the reconnect.
  5. Swaybar disconnect. Worth the upgrade to badlands?

I'm in the same boat. Choosing Badlands mainly for the sway bar disconnect. I consider it a must-have. Articulation makes all the difference when going over challenging obstacles. I'm still hoping that they will allow this option on other trims once the configurator goes live. The aftermarket...
  6. Naked four door Bronco just looks right...

I agree. They did a great job designing the cage and the four-door looks awesome with no doors or top!
  7. Remember the old Render.... Who likes it better?

Ford absolutely killed it with the new design. I like the renders but they look nothing like an early Bronco. I think the current retro design honoring the broncos heritage is completely perfect.
  8. "Cargo Tray" Re-imagined as a drawer

That is a good point about the jack access. I believe the aftermarket for the new Bronco is about to explode and there will be plenty of options to choose from.
  9. Turbo engine oil cooking prevention?

Here is a quote from an older but possibly relevant article from Ford: The EcoBoost engine uses passive thermal siphoning for water cooling,” Plagens explains. “During normal engine operation, the engine’s water pump cycles coolant through the center bearing. After engine shutdown renders the...
  10. Midnite Edition Bronco by Maxlider Bros

I agree. The white decal is actually the only thing I like about it!
  11. How much rear glass will we see smashed in parking lots?

The rear glass can not be opened unless the tailgate has been swung open. I am hoping that the gas struts holding up the rear glass are strong enough to prevent it from slamming into the tire / 3rd brake light. I don't see this being a big issue.

  13. Trail Camera Feature

Thank you Natai. I will try to find some images of the 360 camera feature and do some investigating. I also just noticed that the vehicle icon used on the trail maps feature that was shown during the reveal is NOT a "real" BOF Bronco but possibly a bronco sport. This might seem minor but I...
  14. Trail Camera Feature

Wow that system on the new Defender looks incredible. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Trail Camera Feature

Does anyone have any more information on the trail camera system that was shown during the reveal video? The feature was demonstrated on the 12 inch screen but I'm hoping it will also come standard with the 8-inch screen. Here is a YouTube link to the exact time it is shown: It seems like...
  16. Standard vs. Signature Lighting

I can't remember where I read it but I'm pretty sure all models will come with LED tail lights. Like ericmario said, it's 2020. Even Hyundai Elantras have led tail lights standard.
  17. Rock Rails Frame Mounted?

This is great news! Thank you for the info. I assumed they would be frame-mounted when Ford stated they could support the weight of the vehicle, but it's nice to see a picture confirming that.
