So Thunderkiss 65 by Rob Zombie came on Sirius and I was getting some horrible distortion from the rear. Roll bar speakers have bass blockers so I guess it's the 6.75 Kenwood Sub doing it?
Bass at default middle setting and balance de
With the OEM sub having inputs on both sides - and the harness having 2 sets of outputs - doesn't that make it dual 2 ohm or could it just be dual 1 ohm? Someone asked earlier about which kicker to get and I got the dual 2 ohm - did I potentially get the incorrect sub?
Q for whomever as well....
I'm adding 4" Infinity to the dash and pods. What forscan settings should I change thereafter? I am using bass blockers on all and I've already done the sub.
TIA
IMO, parallel. This is the dummy and I plugged the Kicker in the same. If I'm missing out on some performance this way, someone tell me lol. But this was the most direct "plug and play" scenario....
Did you make sure that both Forscan entries changed? In JimVs write up changing one automatically changed the other. Some others have had to manually change both (myself included - 2023 model)...
JimV covers it here - Focus is a 2+2 Ohm

I didn't use the light brackets and I did remove the liners. But I had to anyway since I was doing the lift. Some of the nut plates will go in without removing, some won't.
Removing inners isn't hard but wheels / tires need to come off. I think 5.5mm (or maybe 7) socket and Phillips. The...
I'll just add, the Kicker 48CWRT672 requires no modification at all (cutting / wire terminal changes *** EDIT you do have to remove factory terminals to insert wire - forgot that). It is a direct plug and play with the Focus amp.
I just screwed it in - no mod, no bracket.
The channel wasn't an issue (or I ignored it).
I did reinstall the factory foam ring.
No stripping on mine - just unplugged from factory and plugged kicker in.
This is exactly why I'm looking into manual sub level knob. The bass can be annoying and intrusive - and the bass slider doesn't affect it much at all....
Thanks - yes thats what I've been looking at doing and putting it somewhere discrete up front. Wish there was a blue tooth one but haven't found it yet if there is...
That's it, but no to the control. I can't imagine a loose sub would - If it were powered in a box then yes. I wish it did, it's driving me kind of crazy.
