Sure was! I tried it with and without the port blocked, kind of preferred it with the port blocked so ran with it.
Crazy that's all it was. I broke 4 clips this time - $32.00 from Ford 🤣🤣🤣
AHA! (I hope)
I tried the new sub, but also stuffed a rag in the port as suggested and discovered that the alignment tab on the enclosure was preventing a good seal. I trimmed that off and right now it sounds great.
Of course now I have to go back and try old one to see if this was the issue....
Welp. New amp didn't fix it and it's def the speaker distorting and not a rattle.
Next I'm going to try a 3rd Kicker and of that does the same, the Skar you suggested.
Only other thing maybe would be the Forscan settings - but I know they were correct.
I posted this in another thread, my kicker sub is distorting badly. First 2 ohm did it, now 4 ohm. Any ideas?

Well, here's the reply from kicker (and sound clip I sent them below)
Yeah that’s no good! It sounds like the amp is causing the woofer to almost unload itself. Here is a option that I have seen a lot of bronco owners use and love it...
Well this is interesting. This thread has a pic of a sub and amp from a Raptor and the sticker shows 2x2 ohm, not 4.
I assume that's the same amp and sub that we hd deleted? @Pressurized thoughts?
***EDIT: More I read, 2 or 4 should work - just different sound. 4 sounded much better to me...
Well after I was getting distortion with the two ohm Kicker I replaced it with the four ohm and lasted about 2 weeks (50% bass setting and max volume about 18 with top off).
Now it's doing the same thing and I've got the bass turned way down in settings. I'm not sure what else to do.
As...
Thanks - just saw this. I am replacing my "blown" 2 ohm and getting the 4 ohm. It started distorting at vol 15 (top down) or so and now its all the time.
Did most of you go 48CWRT672 (dual 2 ohm) or 48CWRT674 (dual 4) with the Fusion amp?
I did the 2 and trying to figure out why it blew... I plugged the fusion amp to each side of the sub I believe.
That OBS though! I have a '95 PS as well, but only 2wd.
As for the OP, I echo sentiments above - and you can add keyless entry pad for a hundred bucks btw.
Thanks man. It was rock solid for two months and since yesterday it's any bass causing distortion in the sub itself. And yes, Fusion amp.
Crutchfield told me to push on the cone and describe the sound, so I'll take it apart Tuesday and chat with them while I have access.
