I'd post on a Bronco forum and ask if anyone wants to swap!
Seriously though, the Black Diamond steelies seem to be polarizing enough that there should be a BD buyer willing to swap. Maybe they don't want the BB wheels necessarily but the way some people don't like the steelies they might just...
Probably poor form to reply to my own post, but I had one more thought ...
I think that "complicated formula" in this context means the following: Ford is going to allocate Broncos however they choose, to appease the big dealers. Then they need some way to placate us (end buyers) and the...
This was probably the thing I liked least about that video. If something can be expressed as a formula, it's NOT complicated. By saying it is complicated he was essentially saying that they have no formula. They're just making things up as they go.
Saw the video in my recommended videos on YouTube. Very simple: Saw the title. Saw who did it. Knew it would be trash. Didn't watch. Won't watch. Will never know what he said. Don't care.
ZipZit is correct, for a given amount of room on the side of the car in which to open the door, it will be easier to get in and out of a 4-door (shorter door) vehicle. Simple geometry, draw some examples and see for yourself.
On the other hand, and more importantly in my opinion, a 2-door...
This is a shortsighted reaction. Sure, they should have. But they didn't. What's your next best alternative?
Let's play this out a little bit. Let's say there are performance guarantees, and they haven't been met. Let's say Ford enforces those terms, whatever they are. What next? Vendor...
By not offering Mid + Manual on the Black Diamond, Ford has simplified my life. I am not getting any features that I don't want. Unfortunately, there are some features I'd like to have that I won't be able to get. I'm sure Ford would like people like me to step up to a Badlands. Instead they...
Bronco Sport looks very similar to the original (2001) Escape. I would argue that the Bronco Sport is what the Escape should have evolved into if Ford had any sense.
Discovering this thread late. Loved reading all the different careers, whether it's "kept man" or "distillery owner"! Great stuff!
I'm an electrical engineer, and I design and build "the cloud" (data centers). If you're on the internet, you've undoubtedly used my work. :)
Gotta love that twisted wording. "...0.4 to 1.0 kilowatt-hours of energy per hour of use." Enough to make an electrical engineer cringe. Otherwise known simply as "0.4 to 1.0 kW." As much as 8.3 A at 120 V, so it's a decent load when it's plugged in.
That would be 90 kWh if you run it for 3...
I think that the Bronco's overall interior is much cleaner and I prefer it (notwithstanding color issues) to the Wrangler. But people will look back at those instrument panel graphics and horrible design choices and laugh at them in future years, if the final version ends up looking like this...
It has nothing to do with this forum, in my experience. Sure, this forum is one way, and a very effective way, to get information. But I've had the same experience for 30 years now. It just takes curiosity and the ability to seek out information. In some cases, it was as simple as just...
