  1. Stig Badge By @broncoak made into stickers! (free) (Officially out of Stig Stickers last batch goes out Monday 4/12/21)

Not sure I agree. I think I'll choose to put the sticker on the inside of the vehicle somewhere, so it lasts. I'd like to see a Bronco, in person, to think about the best placement. I think that since none of us (except Ford employees, perhaps) have a Bronco to take a look at, or put a...
  2. Hill Start Assist

Hey, if that's what it takes to get more people interested in driving a manual, so be it. :)
  3. Hill Start Assist

Ha, the Sabre was more like 600 lbs, it was a beast. Back in '85 (I actually bought it used in 1991 or so) Honda didn't care much about minimizing weight. The 1098 cc V-4 is one of the best engines I've ever owned. But I get the point about brake holding being useful on a big bike two up. I do...
  4. Hill Start Assist

Lots to agree with here. I also have a BMW car that integrates the hill-hold function well, and don't mind it even though I don't need it. However... I don't agree with the motorcycle comments. I find that it's a LOT easier to coordinate hand movements for brake and throttle on a motorcycle...
  5. Stig Badge By @broncoak made into stickers! (free) (Officially out of Stig Stickers last batch goes out Monday 4/12/21)

I'm thinking that a location inside, somewhere on the dash, might be better. So the sticker *lasts*.
  6. 2021 Bronco Packaging Guide

Nope, not a Canadian, I'm a Yooper! We also love our hockey. Seriously, it's a real pain in the ass when nobody has a bottle opener and you have to get creative.
  7. 2021 Bronco Packaging Guide

For that matter, neither did Ford. It wasn't until they (their supplier, actually) made a bunch of them and found out what color it ended up looking like. Then they picked a name for it after the fact. :)
  8. Stig Badge By @broncoak made into stickers! (free) (Officially out of Stig Stickers last batch goes out Monday 4/12/21)

Prediction: There will come a time when it won't be enough to have a B6G sticker. For true street cred you'll need the numbered envelope from this original batch! And the mini envelope, too, to be really authentic! -Tom (#81, as numbered by Ashley)
  9. 2021 Bronco Packaging Guide

I'm totally onboard with the Google offline maps, no need for navigation in the Bronco or any car. Works great, just download over wifi if you don't want to burn data. Android auto to use the Bronco screen, I assume. I do it even if I know I'll have a cell signal. It's fabulous when...
  10. 2021 Bronco Packaging Guide

It's critical for drinking beer in the parking lot after a late night hockey game. ;)
  11. Here’s why you won’t see an electric Bronco

I don't disagree at all. I was just pulling the first couple links that came up because I was lazy. Incidentally, one of my uncles built and managed coal plants his whole career. He'd say the same thing.
  12. Here’s why you won’t see an electric Bronco

As the resident nuclear power lover (I guess, although coal gets the job done, too), I completely agree that there is too much emphasis on gas turbines to deliver power. :) Why don't we just follow France's lead on this one? Let's skip ahead to the decade where we finally go with the safest...
  13. Anyone taught their wife to drive a Manual Trans?

Yes! Not to be missed, fun experience! I did it in Scotland. Would have done it in Ireland as well, except I ended up renting a motorcycle to explore instead. Although it gets tiring, being an American. Rental car people look at where you're from and say, oh, you want an automatic. They just...
  14. Stig Badge By @broncoak made into stickers! (free) (Officially out of Stig Stickers last batch goes out Monday 4/12/21)

I got so excited when I saw the above posts that I went out to my mailbox ...... and found a summons for jury duty. :(
  15. Here’s why you won’t see an electric Bronco

I don't think Jason, in the video, thinks it's easy to expand electric power production, just saying that we can do it if we want to. He's just exploring "what if" to bound the question of how much we'd need (eventually). From what I've seen, it wasn't easy in the past, either. This is...

Another take on the "can the grid handle EVs?" question...
  17. My Idea For A Bronco Commercial

Another variation of the Brady ad.... Tom Brady is in the Ford dealership. Salesman is showing him an Outer Banks. Brady: "Hmm, that one only has six GOAT modes, right? Do you have one that has *seven*??"
  18. My Idea For A Bronco Commercial

Also, Jeep can go F themselves. Apparently the UP is no longer part of the U.S. :(
  19. 📷 Factory Pics: Dashboard switches & buttons + More Broncos

+1 to this. ASS on a manual transmission is much less of an issue. Keep the clutch pedal pressed, engine doesn't shut off. If you're ever stopped long enough to put it in neutral, then having the engine shut off isn't objectionable, to me anyway. You're much more in control over when the engine...
  20. 👑 !!! All Hail the Stig !!! 👑

I'm not much for stickers on vehicles. But I'd make an exception for this one. Perfect.
