Lots to agree with here. I also have a BMW car that integrates the hill-hold function well, and don't mind it even though I don't need it. However... I don't agree with the motorcycle comments. I find that it's a LOT easier to coordinate hand movements for brake and throttle on a motorcycle...

+1 to this. ASS on a manual transmission is much less of an issue. Keep the clutch pedal pressed, engine doesn't shut off. If you're ever stopped long enough to put it in neutral, then having the engine shut off isn't objectionable, to me anyway. You're much more in control over when the engine...
