Wrangler Rubicons with the Xtreme Recon package (factory 35s) are really the only in-segment competition to compare to. Anything else is not a valid comparison.
That said, stated ground clearance on that package is 12.9". Bronco needs to step it up.
Perhaps comparing a 6th generation Bronco to a lifted 40+ year old SFA vehicle is kinda apples to oranges. These new ones can't even take a couple inches without snapping tie rods.
Yeah, I'm hoping the aftermarket keeps at it and provides better solutions for lifts and geometry. Though I can't think of anything stock that does much better.
There are some things about the wait for the production of the Bronco that are significant emotional events. To get pushed to the next model year just to have your options dropped for example (cyber orange! 🤬). Having to wait for your Bronco is not.
