These are at the high end of the spectrum, but if you have kids or other vertically challenged family and friends, the Rock Slider Engineering Step Sliders are a great choice.
They're made in SLC, UT, they take a beating and that 12" drop step is great choice for those that want a step...
We have both a Base and a Base Squatch.
On the road, the Base Squatch is a little firmer, the Base Base is a little softer/smoother.
The big difference is on the backroads at speed. I've had them both doing the full tilt boogie at speed over rough gravel/rocky logging roads and the Bilstein...
Another install video uploaded. Although it is a Jeep, the rear M220 cover is the same for the Bronco.

Not yet.
Finally caught up on some Jeep projects, so just now getting into our Bronco build.
Waiting for the new Grimm compressor mount to show, then we'll get into finding a place to stuff that air tank.
Thanks for the shout-out Rb!
Yep, @BRBlue has it right, that ARB twin should never be ran with the air chuck mounted right to it. It is all about the heat.
At minimum you should use a SS hose lead that is 18" or longer to help dissipate the heat.
The better thing to do is to add in a small...
4x4s are designed to be used.... so we use them!
I've got 15K on the Northridge4x4 Base Bronco and probably 4K+ of that is backroads and trails.
The wife has 6K or so on her Base Squatch and it's been out in the bush a few times, not as much as we usually take the NR Bronco.

Just picked up this 1946 M100 trailer yesterday. Had to drive 125+miles to get it and the tow back was crazy with the dry rot bias ply tires on it, but it was one heck of a score.
That's why we went with blue (medium strength). It's a little tougher to get loose, but not too bad.
Loctite or anti-seize, every main fastener gets something (sometimes both 😉).
Mild steel will be fine for that application and most winch bumpers in the 4x4 aftermarket are made from what is considered mild steel.
1/4" is thick (and heavy), most bumpers you'll find are built from a combination of 1/8", 3/16" steel with maybe a little 1/4".
The ultimate strength of the...
We got both ours from West Hills in Bremerton with no real issues.
The Northridge4x4 Base Base came in last last July and my wife's Base Squatch in December.
Here's the back side, you can see the input shaft for the pinion gear.
That $3500 starting price is just for the box, you still have to add a control valve and then a decent hydraulic pump, cooler etc. It'd be easy to get into the $8K range or more to run one of these.
Haven't messed with them...
Those start out around $3500 and go up from there.
My son and I have used both their 6" and 7" rack and pinions in KOH IFS set-ups.
Nothing that would be illegal in that set-up.
It is a true rack and pinion that is connected to the steering shaft. It just has the assist ram on it to help...
Just curious, do you remember which article, would love to give it a read.
I've gotten a number of vehicles up and going after sitting for a couple years and have only seen one problem with an in-tank pump where some algae/mold crap was growing in the tank and it plugged up the sock filter...
