We'll have to make sure to do some PNW Bronco Round-ups.
Definitely would've been easier to spray in an adhesive. The strips were a PITA to use, you got the adhesive all over your fingers. Had to scrub my finger 3 or 4 different times during the install due to the sticky residue build-up.
We...
Yes, they are pretty nice and not too hard to install.
They definitely help quiet the hardtop noise and droning and as a bonus they even help retain the heat a bit (noticeable here in the cool, rainy PNW).
I'd be curious to see what it's like if one was to do a spray in sound deadener like...
Yow!
That's what I got, don't like hearing that, went with the 2.3 and non-Sasquatch to make sure I got a a MY21.
Just emailed my dealer asking about it.
Governments, Corporations and People are going to use tracking/surveilence to keep doing what they do more efficiently. It's all about who is collecting the data and how they can use it to help their own agenda.
Using it to sell you more is for those corporations that sell.
But the insurance...
Yep, the new steel steering boxes are way better than the aluminum steering boxes.
We stuck a dial indicator on a couple of the aluminum steering boxes and found over .020" flex just by wiggling the steering wheel left to right. It was pretty amazing that got through engineering.
You can see...
You are right @AcesandEights , the technology of Recirc-Ball steering boxes have improved significantly. Trying to say Recirc-Ball steering gears are old technology that shouldn't be used anymore is like saying that 4-stroke combustion engines (in all those Jeeps and coming in the new Broncos)...
They won't be inexpensive, but..... (don't you just love it when people say BUT... 🤣)... the Old Man Emu BP-51 shocks are impressive as all get out. They ride exceptionally smooth on/road and then really smooth out the terrain when things get going off-road.
The ones below are for the Ranger.
Diff drops are used on IFS rigs to lessen the CV operating angles after a lift. Has nothing to do with fender trimming.
Fender trimming is definitely my preferred way to get bigger tires without big lifts.
Hopefully with the removable fenders on the Bronco, we'll see a few companies tackle...
These days, it's definitely because of the customization. Everybody wants to try to be different.
The rock crawling comparison is funny, Jeeps were popular long before rock crawling ever became a thing.
What originally made the Jeep popular was being a small utilitarian 4x4.
The Baby...
Certain aftermarket companies already have 3D CAD files and are designing parts like crazy.
There is always a certain amount of computer design vs real-life, but you can get it dang close.
I was working for ARB back when the FJ Cruiser was in development. I flew back and forth to Toyota HQ in...
Did the Rubicon in a Rubicon Wrangler in 2019 with Richard from Freedom Recovery Gear.
We ran from the Tahoe side into the springs in the dark. Let me tell you, that trail in a 4 dr Jeep on 33s is tough enough, that trail on 33s in the dark is a whole 'nother tough.
Those of you who have been...
Rumor is that an aftermarket company will have a full decked out Bronco at EJS (Easter Jeep Safari) in Moab, UT in a couple weeks showing off their products.
Stopped by the dealer and submitted my order today at lunch.
4dr, 2.3, auto, OJ White, MIC hardtop. The only add-on was the modular bumper.
She said I was pretty high up on their reservation list and by not ordering the 2.7 or the Sasquatch package, it shouldn't be delayed. Hopefully that...
