It's called capitalism. Ford is a publicly owned company. Their charter is to maximize profits. It is basic math. They don't always get it 100% right, but that's what they're trying to do. Anyone who faults them for doing so is not thinking rationally. Put yourself into the shoes of a...
Varsity - not a ton of communication, but I haven't asked for it. I always get responses when I ask. My unwritten agreement with my salesperson is that I make transactions as smooth and painless as possible for him. In turn, he does the same.
And here I was thinking that the answer was yes. I mean it's just a button push, you're not getting out to lock/unlock the hubs or anything. :)
Interesting. Didn't know this about GOAT. So I guess "yes" is the answer then.
Have the heated seats in my Focus as well. I think there's really only ~10 days per winter, max, where I really appreciate the heated seats. I think I've had them on my last 3 (maybe 4) vehicles, but I really don't know that I would miss them much. With the Bronco, I think my "appreciation...
It's been fun everyone. I'm calling it a day.
My only problems:
They want an extra $600 for rock rails that should be standard on BL
I need more money
Have fun y'all
On the BL, I can get Towing Capability to add, but only if i add an accessory that requires the hitch receiver. But then removing said accessory, like the extension ($79) also removes the Towing Capability.
EDIT: I've since found it... duhh
Exactly as stated, I'll just add one thing. I've yet to see a head unit that deals well with thousands upon thousands of files on USB storage. They just don't seem to design them for that use case. So I'd recommend keeping it to less than a couple hundred albums on the drive. And it...
I'll get crucified for this probably, but... I agree 100%. I mean has everyone here forgotten that we're just talking about a truck? I know. I know. It's been an absolutely craptastic year in so many ways. All the more reason to try really hard to maintain some perspective. It's a freakin'...
I do believe that looking at the reservation timestamps for the members of this board is likely not indicative of the broader pool of reservations. At least that's what I keep telling myself (day 3 res here).
IMO, the forum is for information and decision support, not emotional support. If you haven't heard what you need to hear by the time you need to commit something, then don't buy. That's where I'm at. I'm excited about the Bronco, but I haven't married it yet.
@Mattwings I'm with Matt Vodry at Varsity. I only have the one purchase through him so far. Bronco will be my 2nd new Ford. My first experience was completely devoid of any BS and that's exactly how I like it. Can't comment on their service dept, unfortunately.
@Philly Same here. I've talked to Matt over there, whom I've bought through before. We haven't discussed price at all yet. I'm waiting for B&P before bothering to go there. I trust him to do right by me if he has the flexibility, but at the same time, he's not the owner or GM, so his hands...
Dealers are called slimy because often they are exactly that. The rate at which I've witnessed self-serving lies flowing from the mouths of dealers in my lifetime may well challenge that of politicians. That's a fact. I'm not talking about driving a hard bargain in negotiations. I like a...
