My original plan was to always have the j-tops on and cut the foam to correspond to the 3 ‘rows’ of roof panels. That changed when I picked up a soft top and decided on an all or nothing option. This plan should mitigate the moisture and dust issues, dependent on how bad my top leaks😀
Pretty much eliminates any noise from the top and probably insulates a bit. Smooth foam would probably work just as well and look better. It did change acoustics inside some with fewer echoes/reflections. My hard top does not have the liner so not sure if that matters.
I have seen a lot of discussion on the cabin noise and experienced some hardtop noise myself. I installed some eggcrate foam and noticed a significant improvement. Mostly tire/wind noise through floor and side panels/doors and engine noise now. Foam is mostly one piece between the j-tops and...
I have owned both liners in previous vehicles. In my experience with the Bronco, I would go with:
1. Husky XAct - very nice softer rubber feel and stay put.
2. Ford liners - what I have and pretty nice
3. Weathertech - may even look elsewhere as these always seem to slide and curl

I have the Motion XT as well (size XXL). Is that the XL or XXL? It appears you have an additional cross bar on your rack (for 3 total) which I also have. Does it interfere with mounting the box due to the recess in the box? I obviously have not attempted to mount mine yet.
I picked up a secondhand rack and did not have the tool. 7mm 6 point socket works just fine. A trained hand or clutched drill can manage to control the torque.
I just received the cable I purchased and have downloaded forscan...will give it a go in the next week or two. Thanks for the offer and I may take you up if I run into any problems.
New Bronco owner in the Madison, WI area looking for someone with Forscan software and cable to make a few changes to my Bronco. Just looking to delete double honk, add sport mode to my Badlands, and maybe remove a couple other chimes. I do get to the MKE area once or twice a month as well...
Just think, this applies to everything you are buying today compared to March of 2021. Just entered this in the CPI inflation calculator and $46,690 in March 2021 equates to $53,782 today. So it looks like it is only $153 increase.
