That's what I thought when I first saw it. Looks very similar to the USFS Bronco on the Filson website. Maybe another special one off build with Filson for that? Doesn't make sense to have it there and not reveal though.
Edit: pic attached
If you're going for comfort you'll probably want the "mall crawler" outerbanks. The badlands suspension should be stiffer as it is more geared towards off-roading.
I posted a thread on this in July and got 1 response. Glad this one is getting some traction! This is a super cool feature for many reasons! Can't wait to see what the aftermarket does with this.
Maybe we should form a group. Lol. I reserved 4 door black diamond and now thinking base 2 door mansquatch. Once B&P comes out I'll be extra indecisive.
Torque is what is important for spinning the big tires and assuming you're talking about the most recent FJ the 2.3 has 40 lb-ft of peak torque over the FJ and the 2.3 torque comes on at a lower RPM.
To each his own! I'd take the Bronco marine grade vinyl over Kia "leather" any day. And you can't compare the Bronco V6 price when the telluride engine overall is outperformed by the 2.3. The Telluride is a great looking rig and definitely has a lot of upside. IMO it's almost like a small scale...
Kia Telluride 291 hp 262 tq, so a few horses on the 2.3 but no where near the torque letalone the 2.7 figures. 40k will get you a 2.3 4 door Black Diamond which has the rear locker.
Is it too late to join the party in this thread? Reserved a 4 door Black Diamond on reveal night but after this week's revelation I'm thinking 2 door #basemansquatch
The value is just too good to pass up.
Lockers would be helpful but idk if I'd consider them necessary. Depends on how rough it actually is and if the snow is fresh or packed.
My f-250 has seen about 3 feet of snow on mountain roads (combo of packed and unpacked) and does just fine on 315/75/16 ko2s in 4-lo with no lockers.
I'm in SW Washington. Love the weather here. A little more rain but very mild summers and winters. The town I'm in is pretty middle of the road politically but leans right. However, the state legislation is all based on what King County wants which has grown tiresome.
Depends on what you seek in a Daily Driver. I've been driving my EB with the roof off a bit while it's been nice out and it's totally fine for me. Very aggressive A/T tires, 3.5" lift, 3 on the tree manual transmission, tiny inline six engine and bilstein shocks. Will cruise at 60 mph no...
Others have theorized the price jump is due to the 2 door base being a loss leader so they have the starting point under $30k.
We'll just have to wait til the build and price to find out. No sense arguing back and forth when no one really knows cuz we all have access to the same info.
It's inconsistent. Under the base Bronco on the Ford website if you click on specifications it shows both the manual and auto for both 2 and 4 door base Broncos.
